Hands down best apartment complex in Ballard! My fiancé and I have felt so welcomed here by the property manager Carlin. Love the Scandinavian theme! Highly recommend 🙌🏼

We all know moving to a new place can be stressful. Moving to Lillehammer was the best option for our family. Carlin helped us with the search and we felt comfortable immediately after our first tour. He was humble, patient, professional, and didn't pressure us to make a decision right away. I would say one of the main reasons we made the move was because of him. The apartment is brand new, modern, conveniently located in northern Ballard. We're in walking distance of Rosellini's Bakery, Frankie and Jo's Ballard, and the Fat Hen! If you're looking for an apartment in Ballard I highly recommend Lillehammer.

I wrote a review when we first moved into our apartment but we have since left since the rent has gone up and my family no longer could afford the apartments in the area. With that said, the quality of the apartments does grant the higher prices. The kitchens are spacious and modern along side the living room. The secure building is always a plus along with the secure garage for cars. As for the bad parts, the rent is very high, but as stated before it is warranted. the bathroom in the two bedroom floor plan is way too large thus making the bedrooms much smaller. The staff seems to change hands very frequently so it's hard to get a hold of someone and they always seem to not be there during the hours they are supposed to be. Lastly, there is a very loud high pitch sound that goes off every 10 minutes on the south side of the building so if you live on the south side, it is very hard to fall asleep with this high pitch sound going off. Overall, very nice building, location is nice but far away from I-5, high price but warranted with the nice apartments, and hard to reach staff.

Stay very far away! The management oozes negativity, with eviction threats sent out monthly (sometimes weekly). When some garbage had been left out under a stairwell, their response was "If this behavior continues; whomever is doing this will be served a 10 day notice." Garbage should not be left out in the hallway, of course... but instead of asking questions or empathizing, they immediately jump to the extreme of issuing a 10 day notice. Here is a list of issues I ran into after moving in (keep in mind this was a BRAND NEW apartment when we moved in. First tenants to ever live in that unit): - door handle falling off - microwave handle breaking - leak/damage below our kitchen prior to move-in - maintenance person losing our key - a mix up of our bike locker numbers (which they initially refused to resolve, for some reason...) - the board on the blinds falling on my wife and cutting her arm - oven drawer not closing properly (this was an on-going issue for the entire year we were there) - fire alarm being broken for a week, beeping in the middle of the night When the ceiling head rail cover fell off the blinds and hit my wife, obviously I was very upset.. This happened not long after we had moved in. After all the things listed above happened, we were finally fed up when some of our personal belongings were damaged due to a leak caused by an appliance in our unit that was installed with improper tools. When I reported it, instead of sympathetic/apologetic email responses they asked whether our cat had peed in that area... not once did they apologize, not once did they own up to their mistake. After a lengthy thread between the manager of Bona Vista (the property management org... they. Are. AWFUL.) and much reluctance from their part, they agreed to pay a *fraction* of the recovery costs to replace the damaged items. You might be reading this and thinking "well it still doesn't seem that bad, and their apartments are so new... how awful could it be?" We fell for the new units and sparkly appliances, too. But when your microwave handle breaks off, or your washer tube has a leak and ruins your wedding shoes, just remember you heard it here first! Even after we moved out, the nightmare continued... 4 months after we moved out, I got a call from a collection agency for an outstanding balance from Lillehammer for the last utility bill and cleaning fees, etc (they charged us $200 for cleaning costs because our unit was “extra dirty”. It was not.) Instead of getting a hold of us at our new mailing address, email or phone, which they had access to all three (we made sure of it) they instead went through a collection agency. We barely dodged a credit dent due to their negligence.

Lived here for 18 months in an open one-bedroom. My apartment was reasonably priced from the start and didn’t increase much when I renewed for another 6 months. Although the square footage was cozy, it had more closet and storage space than any other place I’ve lived. The rooftop was mostly unused, so I enjoyed grilling with a view. My favorite part about living here was the sporadic emails from management detailing the events in the building. I’ve referred people here and would definitely do so again in the future.
