They gouged me on cleaning when I moved out. I'm a professional cleaner and I left the place cle​aner than when we moved in. Then they charged me for a cleaning crew to come in and do nothing for an hour. They also charged me to upgrade their cheap shitty blinds to nice new cordless ones. I will not be doing business with them again.

This is hands down the best place I've ever lived. I've lived here for more than 2 years now without any real issues. If you put in a maintenance request, this gets addressed quickly. I've never had an issue with someone not getting back to me if I reach out and have a problem or question. Shauna, the property manager is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home - for example, putting out candy or dog treats in the lobby, decorating for holidays, putting out free hand sanitizer/TP/masks during covid (during the infamous TP shortage!). She once even went out of her way to go check on my cats and feed them when my cat sitter was a no show! I've lived at quite a few places and from my experience, management typically does not actually care about the people living there. This is not the case at Gallagher Properties in Ballard. The unit I am living in is incredibly nice and spacious for the amount I am paying in rent monthly here (in a very walkable area of Ballard, I might add). People renting in Seattle know that the steep rent prices here are no joke. There are no carpets in the unit - big plus when you own pets. My living room windows are wide/tall, letting in plenty of natural light during the day. I rarely ever hear my neighbors above or below me (or around me, for that matter). You're within short walking distance of restaurants, bars, boutiques, gyms, music venues, breweries, 3 drug stores, 2 grocery stores, a Target, and a 7-11. I just sold my car because every thing I need is always within walking distance. However, if you do need parking, the building offers ample parking in a garage for a set price monthly. I tell my friends all the time that this place is a hidden gem in Ballard.

I went to view one of the Ballard rental properties with my girlfriend and the office manager who was supposed to show us the place never showed with no notice. This should tell you everything you need to know about this company. If they can't be bothered to even show the house (or at least call to notify that they won't be coming) then they can't be trusted to take care of anything for a current tenant.
