We had a great experience living here for 4 years - great location, the interior was brand new, the view was spectacular, and the pool was a nice perk.

    - Rented a 1 bed - Pretty sweet view - Great neighbors - Good neighborhood (close to corner store, gas station on cap hill, good food) - Nice pool - Apartment is in great condition for the price, and I'd say it was one of the better deals I found in Seattle - Free parking for my motorcycle while I stayed there! Can't underscore enough how nice that was of the property manager considering most properties make you pay for a full spot (can be upwards of $200/mo!!!!)

I’ve lived in this building for about 2 years and have really loved being here. With Seattle exploding in size, the city has so many massive high-rises springing up everywhere with faux-modern features and no real sense of soul or community. Mark Spencer apartments are different on many levels, with charming, naturally-lit units, massive balconies overlooking Lake Union and the Olympics, and a communal pool and grill area that is fun and welcoming. The landlord Dave is incredibly relaxed but responsive, and invests a lot of time in making sure the building grounds are beautiful year-round. And the location is perfect—an easy walk to all of the best bars and restaurants that Capitol Hill offers, but just far enough removed to feel quiet and safe.

Just to echo the other responses--this place is a gem within a neighborhood dominated by modern, cookie-cutter buildings and old buildings that often lack upkeep. Far and away my favorite apartment. The building design is unique (not too many units, a pool/deck area, units are accessible through outdoor walkways rather than hallways). Dave the building manager really puts painstaking amount of effort into the building/outdoor areas, so the building is beautiful and well kept. The units are beautiful. The pool/deck area is something everyone enjoys (as opposed to the more sterile communal areas in many modern buildings). The view is also amazing, and it's in Capitol Hill so you have plenty of options when it comes to restaurants/bars/etc. You can tell everyone enjoys being here, which makes for a good environment. Residents are respectful and I haven't had issues with noise or anything. Everyone gets pretty creative with their balcony space, setting up little gardens, hammocks, etc. It's a great place to be.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for about a year now, and are thrilled to sign on for another! Living in a one bedroom was a tough transition for me coming from only having lived in houses prior, but Mark Spencer Apartments was a smooth transition. The interior of the apartment has all new cabinetry and is very open. LOVE having an in unit washer and dryer. A large sliding glass door opens up to our giant balcony that overlooks a pool, lounge chairs, tabled seating areas, an above ground fire pit, and a fancy grill all of which we have 24-hour access to. Our amazing view past that is of the space needle, the olympic mountain range, and lake union. The landlord, Dave, lives in the apartment, which I was worried about at first, because of bad past experiences, but he is super friendly, chill, and on top of things. He’s just another neighbor! He has a super cute baby, a really sweet partner, and the most well trained dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Location of the apartment is great too! I can live in Capitol Hill without being smack dab in the hustle and bustle but can quickly access it whenever. Also, there is a convenience store literally right next door and then next to that is the Lookout, which has trivia, live music, and all day happy hour on Mondays! QFC is just a walk up the hill. Also, if you go for walks in the neighborhood, you may get to see Macklemore, who lives nearby, going for a walk with his adorable daughters. Did I mention there’s a pool?! Mark Spencer Apartments are bomb AF.
