I moved here mid- pandemic in March 2021 and have no complaints about the building. It is definitely an older building with historic charm, so just be prepared for an older brick building with rustic appeal (one of the original QA bricks)! What it made it especially great to live here, however, was the building manager Blake! He was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. The location is very walkable and close to several restaurants, bars, Climate Pledge arena, and grocery stores. As much as it was time to move on to other things, I'll certainly have fond memories of living here! Nov 29th, 2022

Chandler Hall is a great place to live. The building is old but has a lot of charm. The area is awesome and Blake, the building manager, is extremely attentive and good at his job. Sep 18th, 2022

This place is truly a pleasure to live in. It has such a charm and homey feel to it, I fell in love as soon as I saw the apartment! Sure the studios are a little small, there is no dishwasher and it is a very old building with old architecture and plumbing. However, there are so many amazing things about it that outweigh anything "lacking". Great rental price, tall ceilings, hardwood floors, large windows with lots of natural light, full bathroom with tub, walk-in closets and lots of other storage! The property manager, Blake, is hands down the best I have ever experienced! He is so nice, responsible, and communicative. He gets things done immediately, there to help with whatever he can and he really seems to care about the building and the tenants! Can't say enough nice things about him. The location is amazing, you can walk to literally like 50 restaurants and bars, quick 10 minute walk to the Climate Pledge Arena for Kraken games or concerts, or to the Space Needle for festivals. There are parking spots available (for a fee) or you can get a zoning permit for parking from the city (one time fee) and park on the street for free. Washer and dryers are on site and have a useful phone app to program them. I have never had an issue getting an available washer/dryer. The area may seem a little sketchy being technically right outside of downtown, but I have never had any issues walking around, never had my car broken into, never experienced anything that made me feel unsafe. Strongly recommend living here!! Aug 30th, 2022

I lived here for nearly two years and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The landlord, Blake, was kind, communicative, and accommodating. The building itself has its own charm--you've got to like the brick vibes, slightly dusty lights, and old elevator feel, which I love. Even though my apartment was a studio, it felt super spacious, had excellent natural light, and had a great ambience with its hardwood floors, interesting relics and details from its 1920s construction, and plenty of storage space. And the building is walkable to all kinds of things! Dining and entertainment, the Seattle center, yoga studios, the Elliott Bay waterfront promenade, and a bunch of bus routes.Other items to note: Parking - When I was there, street parking was generally very easy to find--but this might be changing with new parking permitting recently put into place by the city. Laundry - The laundry room is in the building and super easy to use with an app. No coins necessary!Bike storage - There's a basement storage area that fits plenty of bikes and has extra storage space for a small fee.
