Clairemont Apartments

I live in this building currently and over the past 8 days. 5 of my packages amounting to 400 dollars have been stolen. There have been some mild safety concerns as of late and when I asked around both in the building and in the neighborhood I heard more concerning things. Though I wish I had been more aware of these things upon moving into building/neighborhood, when the property manager became aware of my concerns they shared not only their awareness of recent issues but also the steps being taken to resolve things. It sucks but having a responsive property manager who works toward resolution is as much as I can ask for. Bonus points to them for direct and honest communication.

First of all, no deposit return. We left the place in immaculate condition, but when inquired about the deposit are diverted to a mysterious corporate office. The biggest violation of our privacy was when our apartment was entered and pest control devices where placed under the bed and couch during a time when we weren't home. I complained to the building manager, Alcyone Nettles, who replied that we were given notice. In a friendly manner I responded that I hoped they wouldn't enter without notice again while the dog was home alone. To that she replied with a threat of immediate eviction of anyone who didn't restrain their pets. There is never an excuse for management to enter your apartment like this without warning. My third biggest complaint is that my girlfriend's car was broken into right in front of the office security camera twice. The second time this happened I sought Alcyone's help with locating the security footage, but was simply told to file a police report. I could go on and on. Zero for customer service, zero for deposit return, zero for secure location (gun fire can be heard regularly in the area as well), and zero for respect of privacy and tenants rights.
