image As other reviews suggest just so many cons here. I don't even know where to start.
Move out fees $3000-$4000, I'm not even kidding
Mold problem - Humongous
Mailbox problem - There has been MULTIPLE break-ins in the mailboxes and our mailboxes are completely destroyed. Not sure what management is doing about it. No updates. Complete silence. We are not receiving our mails from last 2-3 months.
Security - 0 (Multiple attempts of car break-ins and still silence from management, no communication)
I wish there would be an option of giving 0 star.

As for our move out charges, we offer a walkthrough prior to move out to discuss what damages we see and how to repair them. We are more than happy to be transparent about these charges. For anything that affects the entire property, we send mass emails that sometimes get caught in a spam filter. We highly recommend you check yours! Why live here when you could live under a bridge for free? At least there would be less mold. Management claims the mold is an issue with the humidity in the buildings, but I have been running a dehumidifier to keep the humidity at 45% since I moved in, and the mold is still here. It's in the walls. It's in the carpets. It's everywhere. If you move here, it will be in you, too. There are hundreds of children at this complex who are doing lifelong damage to themselves by living here, and the Onyx has the audacity to blame the tenants for not running the bathroom fan long enough.
On-site maintenance is great, but the management is useless. They are utterly incompetent and have not solved a single issue since I have been here. I once thought they did, but it turned out that the maintenance team did their job for them.
I haven't even faced the dreaded move-out costs yet. They are supposed to be more than one month's rent. I would not recommend this apartment to anybody under any circumstances. The things I would do to break my lease, let me count the ways...

image We have been part ofOnyxCommunity for past several years and am thoroughly happy with the experience. The sense of fellowshipand support among members is remarkable. Everyone is engaged, friendly, and eager to help one another, which creates a welcoming and productive environment.
The Leasing Office team, especially Melia TaylorandKenBrown, deserve special recognition for their exceptional customer service. They are always approachable, responsive, and go above and beyond to ensure residents needs are met promptly and with a smile. Melia Taylor'sprofessionalism and dedication make the administrative process seamless and stress-free.
Similarly, the Maintenance staff are also very responsive and prompt. Whether its a routine fix or an urgent repair, they handle it with expertise and care, ensuring our living space is safe and comfortable.
While there are many positives aboutOnyxCommunity, I believe addressing the issue of theft and vandalism is essential. Unfortunately, there have been several instances of such occurrences, often associated with kids playing in the parking areas and roads. This not only poses a safety risk but also affects the sense of security within the community.
I would appreciate if the community management could consider implementing measures to mitigate these issues. Additionally, enhancing security measures or organizing neighborhood watch programs could significantly reduce these incidents and promote a safer environment for all residents.
Its important to tackle these challenges proactively to ensureOnyxremains a place where everyone feels safe, and their property is respected.
