image My toddler received feeding, speech, and occupational therapy from Kindering for a little over a year. Hayley was our feeding and speech therapist and when I say we cant say enough great things about her, I mean it! She was so genuinely invested in our toddlers success, and gave the whole family the tools we needed to help him with his delays. We also saw Ariel for a much shorter time for occupational therapy and she was extremely helpful in providing us with some additional tools to ensure our toddlers needs were met. Our toddler graduated about six months ago and Im thrilled to say that he is THRIVING and exceeding all his milestones. I dont know that wed be in the same place if we hadnt had the early support from Kindering, and especially Hayley. We are forever grateful for their unwavering support.

image We were referred by Seattle Children's through the birth to three program. I cannot say enough good things about everyone we are working with. Thank you Jenni, Hayley, Kristina & Mari!

image Concerned your 2yo isn't meeting milestones or may have other developmental delays? Need emotional support as a new parent or a parent with special needs? Or just want to find a nurturing preschool for your little one? This is the place to go if you are a parent of a young child under 3.Our journey with Kindering started when my son turned 2. First off, if you have ANY concerns about your child's development, call this place now and set up an appointment for an evaluation. This organization does a magnificent job guiding families through some very confusing and stressful situations. And every service is under one roof or they'll come to your home for therapy. It's a one stop shop of early intervention services with wonderful programs for the entire family, because they recognize the importance and impact of a supportive family. Although we have participated in as many programs that we could, this review is more specifically for the Stepping Stones developmental preschool program. It is a mixed classroom of some of the students receiving services and some students who were not receiving services, but serving as peer models. There was a very low student to teacher ratio. There was always at least 5 teachers in the classroom, which included one lead teacher, an occupational therapist, and speech therapist. All teachers and teaching assistants are trained to work with children with all types of needs. Our son was in the afternoon class, which is a bilingual class, alternating English and Spanish days. My son has picked up quite a few Spanish words thanks to preschool.A typical class session will start with free play, then circle time, motor gym time, and snack time. There is an emphasis on reinforcing positive behaviors and at this age the children appear to respond very well to this approach. Lastly, you will feel like family here. Everyone, from Annie at the front desk to Mary in the classroom, will welcome you and make you the parent feel safe, supported and respected, just as they do with your child. The class is only 1.5 hours, 2 days a week, but the structure of the class ensures that every minute is utilized effectively. You can watch for yourself through the large one-way mirror in a room attached to the classroom. Here you can get to know other parents who have similar concerns about their kids and set up play dates or just take your own sensory break in the middle of the day (ie nap or scroll your phone in peace). The climate in this office is always warm, welcoming, and positive. I will be back to enroll my younger daughter when she turns 22 months and I am grateful that a place like this exists in our community.

image I am reviewing for their toddler preschool program, the Stepping Stones. It is a mixed classroom. Half of the class receive therapy, the other half don't. Teachers to students ratio is low. Teachers are very knowledgeable and caring. My daughter didn't receive therapy but still benefited a lot. It prepared her well for preschool. Most of the toddler programs in the area are co-ops. So the Stepping Stones is a really great alternative.
