I had been looking for information and quotes to replace our furnace. We decided to postpone this project for now, but before we reached that decision, James from Allied Complete Furnace and AC Repair gladly spent ~20min on the phone to provide me with the basics of furnaces. He seemed VERY knowledgeable and was clearly not just trying to take my money but trying to reach the right solution in the best way possible (e.g. perform a tune-up for much less than replacing the entire furnace). 1/3 - 1/2 of the cost of a local reputable but corporate HVAC company.
It took James less than 10 minutes to determine I had 3 leaky fittings. The tech from Greenwood didn't even look at the fitting and quoted $2100 to fix.
James honored his previous quote but fixed all 3 flare fittings. He also did a solvent wash on the condenser at no extra charge.

When your furnace dies on a weekday in December, you don't have a lot of time to think about what to do next. James was prompt, professional, and thoughtful. He conducted business with transparency and made certain we had all of the documentation and information related to our replacement.

I hired James from Allied Complete Furnace and AC to install an air conditioning unit, a gas line to a kitchen range, and add duct work to my home in Kenmore, WA. From the first contact over the phone to the completion of the service James was great to work with. He explained my options and had reasonable pricing. My first priority was to install a gas line to prepare for a new gas range that I purchased. James installed the new line using iron pipes instead of the less sturdy flexible pipes. When James came to install the air conditioning, he also found many issues with my current HVAC system, such as my furnace exhaust was never properly hooked up to the roof, the furnace was installed using taping, and some additional code violations. James fixed these code violations even though it wasn't part of his job. He also installed an air filtration system to my furnace, which is very helpful to maintain the house clean and will be nice during wild fire season, since it also filters smoke. James also found that our Nest thermostat was missing a power supply wire, which sometimes would cause the furnace to shutdown unexpectedly. James was also able to fix that. When it came to the air conditioning unit, he was very clear on my options and explained about a better value unit with a great warranty instead of trying to just sell the most expensive product. Our house has an addition that did not have the duct work. James quoted me a reasonable price and we decided to add ducts and vents to the addition. James and Roberto (carpenter) installed the ducts and a booster fan, to make sure we had good air flow and did an amazing job even matching our vents with the rest of the house. We have hardwood floors and they were very careful with our floors during the install. After installing the system, James explained everything that was done, and how my system works. It’s now been over a month since the installation, and everything has been running smoothly. I’m very happy that I chose Allied to do this work for us, and plan on using them in the future, and recommend to friends and family.
