Update: This review is totally opposite of the one I wrote three years ago (below). Two weeks ago, my wife paid $375 for an annual HVAC contract. After not getting the full contract and noticed only minimal discount for labor and parts, we canceled the contract the next day. Since then, it has been back and forth trying to get a refund. Until today, we still have not gotten our money back.

My wife and I decided to go with this company to install our Generac stand by generator unit. A team came to the house to install the preliminary work such as gas line prep, transfer switch installation to include wiring into the main panel. The team (Trey Stark, John Laucella, Chris Winslow and Noah Cross). This team is just amazing. They worked well together, orchestrated perfectly. As a handy man myself I appreciate the extra care with everything they do. They were meticulous and they actually use a leveler to make sure their panel and platform are level. You may laugh, but small details like this is what separate the professionals and amateurs. We were very pleased with their work and they represent the company well. Staff like these are the ones who are a valuable asset to the company.

I started out using American Mechanical for all three major services. New HVAC system installed, new electrical panel upgrade, and major plumbing work in my kitchen. They did solid work on all three. Maybe not the cheapest but good work.
I have since had my opinion lowered by the last couple of encounters. First was a leaking toilet (brand new). I was charged $600 for 15 minutes work. The guy literally added a second wax ring and that was it. Second time was replumbing my upstairs shower and installing the shower base. Again, I was charged a book price that should have included a new surround to go with the base. I found out from a third party that the price I paid for the base included the surround even though I had only asked for the base. I am still dealing with an unfinished job as the shower base was installed so out of square that I am left trying to rig the backerboard so I will be able to install some other type of wall or tile. Third was what was supposed to be a warranty repair in my heat pump where I was charged so much in labor that the fact that it was under warranty was useless. I just cant see using them any longer. I guess the 15k they have gotten from me as a loyal customer will have to be the end of our relationship.
