Horrible customer service, I wouldnt recommend them for anything. Since May we have reached out to this company about 6 times and have yet to get a call back. They installed our septic in 2019 right before we closed on our house and they were supposed to do free inspections for I believe two years, not sure as we cant get anyone to call us to get information, As of now they havent been out once. I have left messages, emailed and have spoken with Sue and Matt each and every time someone is supposed to reach out and they never do. I have never encountered such poor professionals in my life. Unsure how this company has stayed a float as long as they have..

Matthews soil consultants caused me tremendous anguish. These so called agronomists do not follow the county regulations.They made two very big and costly mistakes. First on the borings. and secondly on the septic report.He also had me go to a surveyor to pay $500 for a topography survey that was already done by a previous owner of the property and on public record, (I thought he knew what he was doing at the time. I had no past experience with land surveys/borings/as this property is my first).
The good reviews they received must be family and friends writing these reviews to counter the bad ones, I can only surmise? Harold Matthews is an awful person..
Tracy Mathews is incompetentI lost six months of build time waiting on new permits with their two separate, big mistakes and hundreds of dollars as Matthews work had to be redone. They lie and they do not follow the county regulations. Do not be fooled by their many years of experience.
By happenstance, I met a woman whom also had Matthews do work on her septic. They caused her tremendous grief as well. She lost thousands with her septic issue because of Mathews Soils incompetence and refusal to return any of her money. She chose not to leave a poor review nor go to the BBB because she wanted to put it in the past because it upset her so much. I understand. I cannot even write all the details because writing this review is veryvupsetting as it brings me back to the days I had to deal with all the havoc. I do not want another customer to suffer as I did.

Tracy was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He took his time and explained everything to us as he went along. He even showed my 6 year old son how to turn the soil probe and identify the dirt.
I did my own research to verify the things he told me and everything was industry standard. They were always timely and professional. They do design conservative systems which takes a bit more space than some may like but at least I know I have plenty reserve to avoid problems.
I see there are a few people on here that mentioned Mathews Soil installed or didn't install their septic system but I'm quite sure they only inspect, perc test, and septic design. Those reviews don't quite seem honest or accurate to me.
I am not related to the Mathews family nor are we acquainted in any way outside of the work they did for us. Additionally, a disabled veteran and lesbian couple, they were one of a few companies that didn't turn their nose up or try to price gouge. I intend to use them again on our next build.

Complete crooks with no integrity. Took my money and never completed any work. For six weeks I asked for my yearly inspection and to inspect a problem on my drain field and they ignored me and never respondedI paid on full for them to service my system. Another person came out and identified pressing issues needing repair. How you can pay for a contract and a company just not fulfill their end is beyond belief.

If you are having problems with an "alternative " septic tank, do NOT see these people, tho'' they designed some of the first ones...they have NO time for you now. Alternative septics have become common and go to see ANY septic tank company instead. Mathews does not do anything but office work, you need to talk with the people who actually do the work to get a quote. Mathews will try to send you to the Co. Health Dept. or something useless instead of helping you. Do NOT waste your time, they are too few and pick and choose the jobs they want.
