Used to love coming in and seeing them, but now half the stuff they sell is just from Amazon, shein or temu. I saw them selling hair stick that cost $7 for 10 on amazon at $8 each one.
Kind of lost what it was supposed to be.

AWFUL customer experience. This place tried to STEAL my rings TO RESELL them! They kept my rings for over five weeks. I came in and called multiple times throughout the five weeks. They lied stating that their “jeweler” would be fixing them. Fast forward, 5 weeks later and nothing has been done to the rings at all. They were hoping I forgot about the rings so they could resell them. I finally had a friend go to pick them up. She had to make multiple trips because they actually took my rings out of the store to some unknown location!! SHAME ON THIS COMPANY!!

I visited a week ago and was utterly disappointed. I have been visiting Mystic Moon for 30 years and this was the first time I was not greeted by an employee. In fact, it seemd there were no employees in sight until I asked very loudly if anyone worked there. At which point a man who had been enthralled in his laptop came to the register. I asked when more 7day ritual candles would be in stock. He pointed to a plethora of boxes stacked on the showroom floor (fire and/or tripping hazard by the way) and said that they were already there. At this point, judging from 30yrs of excellent service by Mystic Moon employees, I was baffled when his response was NOT to open the boxes to sell me the items I needed. Instead he suggested I come back the next day. The shop was empty except for myself and two other African Americans women. And I'd never been in the shop at a slow time that employees weren't stocking, taking inventory or assisting customers.
I'm hoping his utter lack of customer service skills, his lack of desire to sell products, and his inability to offer the exception customer service Mystic Moon is known for is a him issue and not and indication of culture change within the shop. I will be returning this Sunday. Exactly one week later and I hope the shelves are stocked the way they have been up until this point or they at least go back to calling folks when what they want is back in stock like they've done for me several times over the decades.
I want to remain loyal to this establishment as they really helped me when my mother's death was more than I could bare. And I've been loyal to the shop since. If this new culture of ignoring customers and neglecting basic duties--- like stocking when the store is slow and shelves are obviously empty--- hasn't changed when I go back, I will be searching for a new shop for my spiritual practices. But I REALLY REALLY don't want to. I have loved mystic moon since I was 15yrs old and they were just a tiny shop in a flea market. But I have to feel like my spiritual shop at least cares enough to serve me when I'm looking to buy supplies for my spiritual practices.
