This is one of the best retirement homes in the Richmond area. It is a continuing care facility. Lots of amenities, walking trails, and a pond. Food is outstanding, and a farm to table program with gardens on site. The staff is caring and professional. Great environment.

My In-Laws have been at CW for almost 9 years now, starting in an independent living Cottage. The staff in independent living has been very approachable and recently assisted us in transitioning them to an apartment. Change is never easy for anyone, but the CW staff were very supportive in making this happen! I appreciated the willingness of the Staff to sit down with us as we needed to assist my In-Laws in transitioning. Being able to leverage Healthcare/Manor East when necessary has also been helpful. We all want the focus to be on our family members during such an emotional stage in life, and CW does well to help families navigate the necessary decisions.

The facility is lovely and the food quality is a mixed bag. My family chose this facility for the care that we believed they were able to deliver. Memory care is a joke. The quality and quantity of care is sub standard. The staff is in constant turnover and memory patients need stability. Their inadequacies have the entire unit functioning like a circus. The administrators are unresponsive except around questions of their money. It is heartbreaking that my parents invested their life savings into this facility that sells itself as life care. Dont believe it.
