Awful experience, waste of money. Awful management that is predatory and just plain out stalk-ish. Would
Not recommend.. also extremely disgusting, puke every where every single weekend all
Up and down the halls. Just gross and poor management who thinks there above everyone else.

I would never in a million years recommend lark. This place was stricter than my freshman year dorm, and management is constantly breathing down residents' necks. There are inspections what seems like every 3 weeks and management takes photos of your belongings which is a complete invasion of privacy. The manager, Amanda is horrible and unwilling to respond to resident emails -- when she charged me $250 after an inspection AND took photos of my room, she was 'supposedly' out of the office for 3 days. She is so incredibly rude and every positive review about her and this complex is fake and they don't even try to hide it. Every single person that has interacted with Amanda that I know (20+) had horrible experiences with her **specifically**. This apartment complex is the bane of my existence.

Do NOT rent here!!!!! Overpriced, predatory management. Read below:
First and foremost, the building is INCREDIBLY overpriced for what they offer, in particular how small the units and bedrooms are (claustrophobically small). TVs did not have cable the entire year (management told us they simply elected to not renew their cable contract). Pool was closed for nearly all of May, June, and July. Elevators constantly broken. Etc, etc, etc.
Secondly, there was vomit in my shower door hinge when I moved in last summer from the previous tenant, obviously indicating how my unit did NOT receive a proper cleaning and sanitizing, especially during COVID. Disgusting.
We had numerous problems in our unit throughout the year, most notably when we asked maintenance to fix the lock on our exterior door leading out to the balcony. After it was "inspected" multiple times over the course of a couple weeks, management told us that the door "was not supposed to lock" despite having all the parts to lock. What??!! As four college-aged women, we were incredibly uncomfortable not being able to lock our exterior door and were very upset with Lark's unwillingness to fix the lock. Eventually one of my roommate's dad came to visit and, of course, easily fixed it. Blatant display of how little Lark management cared for our safety and of how they freely lied to us to avoid properly doing their jobs.
Most upsettingly, management attempted to charge me $250 for a replacement desk after I had moved out when the top of it had been scratched by the previous tenant (aka, the scratches were present when I moved in). Although I hadn't included this very minor damage in my move-in inspection, I suspect that management had charged the previous tenant to replace the desk and simply never did so, and eventually pinned it on me. Not to mention how a few scratches on the top of a desk does NOT warrant buying an entirely new one. And it gets worse: after calling and emailing management to dispute the charges, and not hearing back for a week, I received an email threatening to send me to collections for the charges, a DAY BEFORE MY LEASE EVEN ENDED! What the heck????
This building preys on first-time renters and college students, and does not care for residents' safety, security, or experience in general. STAY FAR AWAY!
