Buchanan and Kiguel is the ONLY place I take my art to be framed. Ive been taking pieces here for several years after trying other frame shops in the area, and Buchanan and Kiguel always provides quality framing at really reasonable prices. They have a large selection of frames and can provide you with classic, stylish frames for your most prized pieces of art. They are the only shop Ive found in the area that provides gold-leaf frames, which will elevate any room, as well as a large selection of Italian-made frames. Their prices are really good, and they seem to have kept their prices the same despite nationwide inflation. The staff is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful, with expert taste. If you are unsure of how to frame your artwork, you can rely on them to steer you in the right direction and help you pick something that highlights your piece. Beyond frames, they do restoration, and they can source hand-painted mats and silk mats, which are luxurious and beautiful. They have never disappointed, and honestly, this frame shop has become my favorite store in Old Town Alexandria. Do yourself a favor and take your art here to be framed!

Incredibly knowledgeable team with a great eye to help you create exactly what you're looking for.
They helped me with a special project for my father and even worked their magic to fix a typo in the invitation being framed.
To say their work is beautiful is an understatement!

Do not even waste steps entering this place. The 'lady' who answers the phone is nasty, sarcastic, and exemplifies the very definition of uncouth. To boot, there exist finer framing shops in Old Town, such as the Old Colony Shop on South Washington, where one can attain finer quality and treatment from a normal human being. The treatment one receives on the phone alone from this place warrants your immediate refusal to consider it for your framing needs.
