Wet and cold outside, and really not open nor welcoming, so must have been what it was like for African Americans, slaves, and invading carpetBaggers, etc as this area was formed, now so long ago...

VERY INTERESTING! Excellent tour guide who spent over an hour with us and answered all our questions. This is the oldest house in the area, and the original builder/owner/resident, John Ball, is the reason it's called Ballston. There are many original artifacts.

It is a quint cottage, been around since the late 18th century. The oldest house in Arlington. Must visit.
