Terrible customer service. Lady at the front said she doesn't pick up phone numbers from people that dont remember when their order is ready

The service is fine, but they don’t keep their hours. Very frustrating to arrive with clothes for drop off, find them closed and have to either go back home or ride metro with an armful of clothing.

I feel really terrible writing this because I honestly never write bad reviews, but people should have information before spending their money. I really wanted to like this place because it's so convenient and right on my way home, and I went back three times to give them the benefit of the doubt. The customer service is just really bad here, and I'm not the type of person that needs everyone to smile at me, but the lady here was just actually mean and I felt like I was annoying her every time I came in. Once I took in a silk blouse with a stain and when I came back a week later to pick it up, she just handed it back and said they wouldn't touch it because of the stain (my new cleaners got it out on the first try). I usually had a few pieces, but the last time I just had 1 pair of pants and I didn't know about the $10 card minimum and had no cash on hand. It was raining and I was exhausted after a long week and I asked if she could just run my card for whatever amount would make it worth it for them (I totally understand that the fees associated with credit cards really chip into small business' profits) and she said no and made me go around the block in the rain and to go to the atm with an additional $3 fee and come back with the cash. Giving two stars because the other pieces I bought in were cleaned fine, but I honestly dreaded going in there and it's just not worth it. I highly recommend New Members Cleaners in Clarendon instead - it is a bit of a ways out, but walking an extra mile each way is totally worth it to me for the better product and far superior customer service.
