Do not go with The Home Doctor!
About 3 years ago we had The Home Doctor replace our aging roof. Within a few weeks and a few rainy days (after installation), we noticed water seeping from the roof into our indoor fireplace damaging the ceiling around the fireplace, damaging the fireplace molding, and staining the fireplace bricks. We reached out immediately to our Home Doctor POC (Adela Mora) and after several attempts they sent a team out to inspect (they do not get back to you unless u constantly follow up). They ended up putting the blame on the chimney itself.. so we called a chimney professional. Although the chimney guy couldnt find anything wrong with the chimney they insisted it was the chimney, so we replaced the chimney caping/crown along with grinding out and repointed the chimney bricks - just in case. Despite the chimney fixes, we continued getting the water stains which once again damaged the inside of our newly fixed fireplace after spending over a $1000 (ceiling, molding, fireplace bricks).
We ended up going back to The Home Doctor.. After several weeks, they finally showed up, inspected the roof and noticed that the caulking they did when installing the roof was done incorrectly allowing for water to seep in. So they made the fix, and two days later after a rainy day, water was seeping in again.. So called back and they eventually they sent a specialist. The specialist then determined that the metal flashing was incorrectly installed as well back when the roof was initially replaced. So they replaced the flashing - but again after the first rain, water seeped in again. Another specialist was then sent, and he determined that the caulking around the new metal flashing was done incorrectly and so he addressed that problem. After a few rainy days, looked like things were finally fixed - 3 yrs later mind you and thousands of dollars spent out of pocket.
So after The Home Doctor confirmed that they would fix and cover the indoor damages to the fireplace, the POC Adela came back with the following:
Unfortunately my management stated the interior work is not covered by our team/contract. We are happy to do the interior work for $950. Service: Roof installation

I am so impressed by the professionalism of everyone I dealt w/ at Home Doctor! Their estimate was accurate & fair, they came when they said they would, finished on time and delivered on their word. I rarely have things go smoothly w/ home repairs but, their work went off w/out a hitch! Even the quality of materials was exceptional & their installation professional. It's so pleasant to work w/ contractors who have lots of experience & know what they are doing; especially the Sales Manager, Spencer Ray! He very carefully explained everything to me & what to expect, as well as, delivered on his promises! He did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was honest & sincere which is hard to find these days in the home contracting arena! I will never use any other company than The Home Doctor. I can't recommend them highly enough!! I had to replace a window with the window frame. It took a long time for the window to come in (several months) but the job done was high quality and they came when they said they would. Would hire again!

The Home Doctor had me with the presentation. I have never before experienced a company that explained every single aspect of their company. They explained all the materials they use in the work they do. They explained what they would be using each material for, in the process of the job they will be doing for me. Their prices are fair. Lee went above and beyond to find the best fit for me, and worked very hard to find me a financial plan that I can afford. Ill be forever grateful! Ill be back to review when the work is finished.
