BUYER BEWARE
There are many hotels available on South Padre. Please choose another, you'll regret it if you stay here.
Last month, we rented 2 rooms, for 4 days and PAID $1,200.
#1] When we arrived, we were placed in two separate buildings that were a few blocks apart. I requested that we be closer, and was told that that wasn't possible.
2.] One of the rooms reeked of pot. Instead of moving us right away, they decided to come and SMELL it for themselves. The HOTEL Tells us that 'it doesn't smell TOO much like POT", trying to convince us to keep the room. We told them NO.
3.] The other room's shower curtain had VOMIT splattered all over it. I wondered if this room had even been cleaned, as it smelled of mildew. The CARPET was soaked with water, two feet around it due to an AC that wasn't working properly. We didn't realize it ofcourse until we STEPPED in it with bare feet, who knows how much bacteria and mildew had accumulated in this area and now we were stepping in it.
4.] We spoke to the front desk multiple times; saying that they would send someone to fix it. NEVER HAPPENED.
5.] Housekeeping didn't replenish towels. My son went out to get two and the hotel only gave him one.. they promised to send Housekeeping up to tidy our 3x? Nothing happened.
When we came back to the room, the garbages were both sitting in the middle of the room? Too lazy to put them back where they belonged.
6.] Towels and sheets were left on the suitcase chair??? ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CHANGE OUR OWN SHEETS??
AGAIN, we informed the front desk and she said that she would send housekeeping to clean.... so we went to my son's room to give them time to clean...we stayed away for two hours, to give them enough
This has been pretty miserable. Having to check in on people that can't do their job. Us having to go back and forth between buildings.. and not being together.
When I contacted Daniel Gomez, the manager, he refused to refund some of our stay. A few days later he AGREED to refund us some of our money but he follows suit as his staff; NEVER HAPPENED. I've decided that I will pursue this with small claims court and ask for a full refund of $1,200. Do not waste one minute at this hotel. They are dishonest, lack of follow through or interest in how your stay is.
I'm out $1.200 for a very disappointing family vacation.

This place should by no means be considered a resort. Apart from the motel looking rooms with rust in the tub and ceilings and mostly ghetto staff, they charge a 'resort fee' that includes every day items that other motels and hotels do not charge extra for. I reserved two rooms and was sorely disappointed. They advertise nice clean rooms with amenities, but you don't even get a bar of soap. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially at their prices. Do what I did and pay a little extra to get a grand experience at a real Hotel.

The first day we get there we were without power for 5 hrs. We had to stay outside till it came back. The next day the signal on TV goes out almost all day. Smelled moldy in the room. And overall the hotel needs to be updated. The walls in the room are coming apart and the carpet was damp. Since it was a free stay for me, cause a friend pd for it. I can't complain. But I myself wouldn't pay to stay there again. 👎👎👎

This hotel seem great at first but unfortunately the stay wasn’t as pleasant. The service here was Extremely horrible. For two days they were doing renovations and the very next room so it was Very loud. The carpet where the ocean view hotels are located stinks so bad. The pool was down and closed for three days. I won’t recommend this place look elsewhere.

Very bad experience!!!! Although it advertises itself as a smoke free facility and having all rooms non smoking, my room reeked of smoke. Knowing the current conditions of the hotel, I would have never booked. This hotel is NOT ready to serve people. They had no running water in the rooms. It needs a whole lot of maintenance. I do not recommend it!!!
