Conveniently located next door to the River Center Mall and Henry Convention center. Easy access to the Riverwalk. All staff was extremely helpful and friendly and major props to the sweetest valet guy Xavier! Also really enjoyed the live entertainment in the evenings! Super talented Musicians set up for acoustic performances in the lobby area. All pics from the balcony were from the 7th floor facing the Riverwalk. One block away from the Hemisphere tower. Views from the Riverwalk (on the side of Commerce) of the hotel.
Rooms: Balcony rooms were spacious and had seating for outside.
Walkability: Easily can walk to the mall, Alamo, Ripley's, Restaurants like Rainforest or Hardrock.

The beds were the most uncomfortable beds that I've ever had in a hotel room. I may as well have slept on the floor. The pillows weren't much better - thank God we brought our own! This could've been made more comfortable had the room cooled down to where we had set it at (68 degrees) but it probably never dropped below 72 degrees. The air never stopped running, so it definitely wasn't cooling down. For the $1000 price tag for 2 nights, there was no complimentary breakfast, no complimentary coffee, or parking. I've stayed in several hotels that were not as "prestigious" that offered all of those amenities for less that half of the price. At the bar, the bar manager was a complete jerk. He was rude to his employees, and to the customers. They tried to charge me 120% of what an entire bottle of a rye that I like for a single pour. I will never stay here again, and I will tell anyone who asks that they're wasting their money by staying here. 100% price gouging.

The 5 star reviews are obviously paid for by Marriot. Find somewhere else to stay!. Hotel store closes at 9pm. Good luck finding anything to drink or eat unless you want tap water from the bathroom sink. No vending machines in the entire hotel. So plan ahead if think you may need anything to drink at all. No room service as advertised on the website. Complimentary internet isnt actually complimentary unless you want to join some Marriot Member mobile app which gives you the equivalent of a dial up connection if you can actually figure out how to make it function. But for $20 daily you can get a connection that is slightly faster than the days of AOL!!! On the 19th floor and sounds like Im sleeping beside a nascar race. The room smells like a dumpster. The list keeps growing. Very disappointed in my hotel choice this week! Would have been better off taking my chances a Motel 6
