Tru by Hilton San Antonio North

The staff and facilities were great. The breakfast is very good as well. Free water upon arrival is great. The facility is clean and apparently safe. The room was clean as well. My dislikes center around the construction of the building and the design of the room. Perhaps there are nicer rooms, but ours was a very basic queen bedroom. It was essentially a master bedroom with a bathroom. The whole room was smaller than our bedroom at home. There's no closet, just a rack. There was only one bedside table, which wasn't great for the 2nd guest. The blanket was thin, and there wasn't a second blanket in the room. The bed wasn't great either. I think if a hotel has a duty to get anything correct, it's the bed. Perhaps everyone would love the bed, but my wife and I didn't. To be fair, though, we have an expensive Sleep Number bed and might have a scued perspective on bed comfort. Finally, the noise from adjoining rooms. The construction of this building is such that you can very clearly and loudly hear the people walking above us. If people in the adjoining room came in or out of their room, we would hear a loud "bang" in our room.

Hotel was very clean, friendly staff, and quick check in. Accommodation was done for my fur babies, which I appreciated. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy but lots of options and clean. The Hilton app was not working at this location during my stay. Rooms: Very neat and clean Nearby activities: Close to shops

We had a great stay. The rooms were clean and the breakfast offered lots of choices. My only complaint is that there were no cups in the rooms and only two bath towels. It's great for the minimalist. I was able to grab cups downstairs, but it would have been convenient to have one in my room. I'd like at least one backup towel.

Terrible smell in the room. We arrived late around 10PM and the room was stinking very bad, probably coming out from the drain in the toilet (or AC vents). Kids were so tired we didn't had any other option as the hotel was fully booked. We informed the hotel staff the next day but they didn't care at all. Would never stay here again. Breakfast was also very regular. Cold eggs, bad tasting orange juice, etc. Very disappointing since we paid over 150 USD/night.
