While Steven may appear to be helpful to his landlord clients, he games and toys with rental applicants in an extremely frustrating manner. Neither myself, nor my realtor have experienced such unprofessional communication as we have with Steven. After being contacted and asked to schedule a call regarding our application, Steven proceeded to ghost us entirely for a week, until we eventually had to discover through the MLS 5 days later that the property had been rented to someone else. Several attempts to reach Steven through different channels went unanswered, thus leading to this review.

Please stay far away from this company, its a 1 man operation named Steven. Our ceiling was leaking for 4 months before we could get an answer from him. We had A/C issues I had to pay out of pocket to get fixed because this man will not respond to us. We have been chasing him for 2 months now trying to renew our lease. I wish we could move but because of medical issues, Ive had multiple spine emergency spine surgeries in the past 2-3 months I am not physically up to the challenge of moving short notice.

I had high hopes working with RPM Longhorn since it had good reviews when I initially looked at them before signing my lease. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The property I leased had its fair share of unavoidable problems, but the worst part was the lack of support and communication from RPM Longhorns staff most notably Steven. In the year long lease, we had a serious issue every month because it took so long for things to get resolved. When our lease ended, there were still issues that had not been resolved. Sure there were small things, but most of the issues we experienced were serious and difficult to live with. For example, we experienced an electrical fire shortly after moving in. Electricians reported the issue and the scope of the project (including the property not having an adequate number of smoke detectors) to RPM, but it took months of us having to check in with RPM and the electricians to finally get the work completeddespite us communicating that we did not feel safe in the property. We then had raccoons in the attic, which took over a month to remove. The mother raccoon ended up having babies, and when we asked for help to remove them safely we were denied. Because the raccoons had nested in the attic so long, we then found fleas had made their way into the house. We paid to have the house exterminated twice without help from RPM. Later there were rats in the attic. We ended up having figure it out on our own out of fear that the rats would get out of hand. I could go on and on about all the issues. Overall, I know things happen and Im the first person to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but RPM Longhorns treatment was unacceptable and unprofessional. On several occasions, after various emails and going through the maintenance portal, we would call Steven for a status update. At times, he would become very unprofessional (have an attitude)
and act as though we were asking for too much. Wanting to live in a property (that youre paying to have managed) without live animals in the walls and/or attic isnt unreasonable. On one occasion, Steven showed up in person and verbally attacked my fianc after we had requested a discount on a few months of rent given all the issues we were dealing with at the property. The stress and difficulties we experienced as a result of working with RPM Longhorn were not worth it. I hope others can learn from our experience.
