Pho Saigon

The food is always delicious here! I've been to the one in Katy and this one and I love them both, the pho is delish😋

Oooh man this place was SO close to getting 3 stars... they are so lucky the food was 'just' good enough to sway my rating. Warning: do not come here for the service (especially if you don't speak Vietnamese). You will just get mad, as I did. I have a lot of tolerance (and experience) with most Asian restaurants in terms of the language-barrier and the restrained-style of service.. I have been up and down china town and had my fair share, hehe. But tell me why we had two servers who wouldn't give us 2 minutes to look over the menu! I felt so rushed to order and asked our waiter(s) to come back at least 5 times. Unacceptable. If there's anything I hate, it's being rushed to order and eat. The service was so cold and unfriendly. Thank God the food was just the opposite. To start, we ordered Vietnamese eggrolls. They are decent, but generic. I had to ask the waitress for plates to eat on and she looked at me like I was crazy. My dad ordered chargrilled pork and vermicelli bowl while I ordered pho. The chargrilled pork here is D-E-Licious! Not dry and cold like most places I"ve been to. They weren't stingy either. There was a good amount of meat, hehe again. My pho was good, except I noticed a weird unidentifiable smell and taste in the broth. There was some sort of awkward aftertaste, but it was still tastier than most pho I've had. There was also a substantial amount of meat in the pho. Overall, I'd come back again but only for the chargrilled pork, and it would probably be to-go. If you don't mind a side of shotty service with your thit nuong, then I guess this is the place to be.
