Travelling to Houston and staying in a Hilton property is always a treat, except when it's not. I booked the whirlpool room for me and my daughter. I skipped the hot tub that evening and took a shower, planning to soak out my troubles the next morning. When the hot tub didn't work and I called the front desk about it, I was offered a lecture that I would have loved to decline on the difference between a whirlpool and a hot tub. I was also accused of not operating it properly; seeing as I didn't know the difference between a whirlpool and a hot tub. I was also told that I should have called yesterday and reported the issue. I had to intervene mid sentence and inform my lecturer that whatever name it went by, no air was coming from the jets....in short, it didn't work. She responded by telling me that I needed to learn how to talk to her. At this point, I'd had enough and asked to speak with anyone in authority. I was placed on hold. Several moments later, Yesenia picked up the line. I explained to her, using the exact verbiage, tone and everything else that the hot tub didn't work. She offered to reduce the cost of my room to the "standard, no whirlpool in the room rate" and 1000 Hilton points. I begrudgingly accepted, knowing full well that a Diamond status guest like me deserved far more. There's nothing like drying off with a fresh, fluffy hotel towel. This wasn't possible for me because my daughter had used the only dry towel in the room. When I called the front desk again about the matter, I was told towels would be brought up shortly. Shortly turned into one hour solid, and needed another phone call. I was told that housekeeping had brought up the towels and maybe I was mistaken. I assured Yesenia that there were no towels brought up to the room. Now this situation certainly deserved 5k Hilton points, or so I thought. I was given 2k points for customer disservice, a non-working hot tub, 1 bath towel, an hour plus wait for other bath towels, no breakfast of any sort (I was told at check-in that they didn't have the boxes or bags for the food...ever heard of Dollar Tree... $1 per hundred bags) and just a bad experience overall. Good customer service should not be absent because of a pandemic, or businesses should state up front that they are offering the Pandemic Package that comes with reduced everything; including the level of service.... And here's the good part, we're still charging the same money!

I would give no star if I could. Tv had 3 channels, room smelled horrible, microwave was broken and ac didn't work. Lets not mention my blankets on bed had been badly stained. Don't let lobby fool you its about the only nice spot in whole building. Pool isn't open. Police are here frequently. Business center has one computer no time limit. Worst stay I have had in Houston

The worst experienced ever. Book few rooms they all smell bad and ice machine doesn't even works. The pool is dirty with dead bugs everywhere in the pool plus trash everywhere around the pool. Bad services from the hotel manager. Complained the pool being dirty, he doesn't even send anyone out to clean.
