Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Houston Hwy 59s/Hillcroft

We had 2 days booked. We were shocked to see there was no exhaust fan in the restroom. There was no fridge and microwave in the room. All the other holiday inns in that area do have all of those. We were then asked to keep our stuff in the front desk refrigerator. But next day they couldnt find it which is very irresponsible. Also the management is under trained. The area where this hotel is located is always crowded with traffic.

I am a frequent traveller, and it takes a LOT for me not to ever wanna go back to a hotel. Booked a room using my rewards. Needed a double bed, so once I checked in, it was cramped. The bathroom was TINY and no extra toilet paper roll was provided (Sounds goofy, but irritating). The reason for this terrible review is bc in the middle of the night, I felt something on my arms. Turned on the light, saw a little roach on my bed. I freaked out! Got up, and my friend woke up and saw ANOTHER roach crawling on the alarm clock. Needless to say, I went to the person working the front desk at 2am, and he was nice, and offered another room. Why would i WANT to stay there? But he did what he could, gave me the managers name so I can call them the next day. We left, and I will NEVER come back. The rooms, although furnished nicely, are cramped, muggy, and the location is behind a ghetto KFC and Jack in The Box. I never give bad reviews, and usually laugh at people that are so picky, but roaches was crossing the line. Not one, but two. Will never ever stay here for business or pleasure.
