Be careful with this doctor. He is irresponsible, just wants an easy job. He can let you die on bed without any actions. I wish I can give him a zero star. After a colonoscopy with him on Aug 25, 2022, he told me for 1 minute that I had colitis but not treatment plan give. When I went home, I had flare-ups, rectal bleeding, diarrhea a dozen times a day. I had to call the nurse for prescription. Even though I daily reported the symptom did not improved, he let me wait & wait until I am exhausted. Finally after a month of diarrhea, I ran to ER, they save my life, gave me IV fluids and antibiotics. In the meantime, he did not admit me to the hospital, just sent message, wants to know the name of prescription and careless my condition.

Dr. Galler seems like a nice doctor who gets the job done but my experience was very uncomfortable. I have never had a procedure like this where I had to be awake at the start. When I asked him about it afterwards he informed me that I could have requested to be asleep. And this was his way to perform the procedure. An option was not given to me before the procedure was done. I would have truly requested to be asleep. I do not look to have any procedure done while I am awake. I would like to be informed first, If there is an option. All of this left me in pain on my neck and shoulders being that I was not in a comfortable position before falling asleep while the nurse was in the middle of getting me in position. I was very tensed wondering what am I about to experience.

Dr. Galler has been my GI doctor since I have moved to Houston and while GI issues arent a one size fits all issue, I appreciate Dr. Gallers personable attention, persistence, and positive attitude. It hasnt always been an easy road but I always appreciate his honesty, practical approach, and bedside manner during procedures, etc.. I also SOOO appreciate Nurse Ann (who has been a primary contact for me while in Dr. Gallers care). They make an excellent team, very happy to have found them!

Dr. Galler graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After earning his medical degree from the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. He completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Galler is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of several medical societies, including the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
