My "sitting bones" were inflamed,so my pcp gave me a referral to this doctor. He also noticed ,during the visit, that my bi lateral knee surgery was an abysmal failure from several years prior ,but remarked that "well at least you can walk". He told me that he could give me injection in my back for the pain from the sitting bones, but didn't make it sound promising. No thanks, doc. His entire attitude was condescending and I can guarantee, that I will never go back to see him again. I received a printout of my visit several weeks later. The envelope had been addressed in pencil ,by what appeared to be a 3 year old child, with horrific printing.I have a terrible case of carpal tunnel at this time. However will wait until sign up period in December ,to change plans ,before I go back to this guy.

Very dissatisfied with the customer service I have been receiving from this office. I tried to go in for an appointment and they go to my old report from my knee injury and tell me that I can't be seen cause I need to go to another surgeon. Well I didn't want to go for my knee I have hip problems and now they're telling me that there is nothing this general orthopedic surgeon can do for me just by looking at my reports for my hip.... 1 xray which only shows bone structure not ligaments or tendons or muscles like an MRI would, so first offf he is just going off of that without truly knowing what's wrong with me they just assume that there is nothing this "general" orthopedic surgeon can do for me... I think when I comes down to it the faculty is lazy and just doesn't want to see me. Either way very unprofessional on trying to find ways on how not to see me then they lie to me and say they're gonna talk to Dr Fischer tomorrow and see what he can do then I call back with a referral that was just sent in today and they said from a previous report that they can not see me so I don't know if they lying to me or he just doesn't want to help me at all. Which is what I thought they do but I guess you have to be special to be seen by them so you better kiss their ass so you can be seen or they will just push you on to the next surgeon...

My mother went in to this doctor's office for the first time with knee pain. Dr. Fischer focused more on her weight than her knee pain. He informed her that she would need an MRI. She said that she had one previously but he felt the need to tell her that he doubted she would even fit in the MRI machine. That comment was completely unnecessary and unethical.

This comment is a reply to the posting by Regina Bishop by Dr. Fischer. Regina. It is unfortunate that you misrepresented and responded emotionally to the medical evaluation regarding your mother and that you anonymously posted commentary on social media that is impossible to defend as you did not give your mother's name. Doing this sort of thing borders on slander and subjects you to a lawsuit should your identity become clear. A simple phone call or discussion of your concerns, experiencing the difficulty of obtaining an MRI on a seriously overweight patient, and taking the time to hear the findings of that MRI would have helped you to understand the discussion of weight that you found so offensive. Unfortunately, a previous MRI, age undetermined, available for review or not, would not reflect current abnormalities, and would have been of doubtful significance. I cannot comment on the knee x-rays with which she presented and the information they provided as I do not have her identity. Every patient that comes for a medical evaluation must now be weighed and a BMI( Body Mass Index) calculated. It would be unethical for me to overlook and not comment on a profound reason for your mother's complaint of knee pain, as it most likely seriously aggravated whatever was going on in her knee. Weight loss must be a part of the recommended treatment for knee pain in an overweight individual but frequently this advice is ignored as it is a difficult process to achieve. Not fitting into an MRI machine is not uncommon for a very heavy person and often special arrangements need to be made to find a unit with a table that accepts an individual exceeding 250 lbs. Please understand that I am always happy to discuss concerns that family members may have with interpretation of the examination and recommendations given, but only with the with permission of the patient. However, it should be your mother that directs these questions to me rather than you as it is her medical problem that needs treatment and it is her understanding of the diagnosis and treatment that is most important.
