He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Mass., in 2020. He completed his fellowship in Interdisciplinary Spine and Pain Management at Hudson Medical Group in New York, NY, in 2021.

After 5 years of dealing with neck pain, on my first visit with Dr. VÃ©lez he prescribed me a combination of medication and physical therapy that has almost completely made my pain disappeared in a few days.
