image Ive never used this service but Wednesday one of the drivers cut across traffic and pulled out in front of me almost causing a collision. I had to slam on my brakes to miss them. This was on Harmon Dr. Please be mindful if you live in this area and use this service. This driver was extremely reckless with precious cargo. Mind you I was taking my son to school.

image Not a good experience. The charges are outrageous. You have to continue to pay during breaks even when youre not using them the two weeks for Christmas, the week for thanksgiving, fall break and spring break. They charge you every year a renewal fee then if you cancel they will continue to charge you, they also charge you an extra week after school ends. Them bam another fee for $250. On top of that they will raise your fees during the middle of the year and say its ok because it was somewhere in the contract. I used smiley for 3 years because I wasnt aware theres a bus service in my area. Which if youre paying smiley I suggest you call the isd because they can usually fit in a bus stop if you ask for it( I wasnt aware until recently) smiley is nice until you cancel.. They sent me and email and begged me to stay saying theyre having hard times then I say sorry please cancel my service they stick you with a bunch of hidden fees. When I asked about the fees the operations manager told be there was a mistake on their part and they will get it fixed. I heard nothing back for a few days then cancelled the amount from my bank. 2 days later they I hear back through email threatening to take me to court. A surprise to me. The customer service is lacking and there is a major lack of communication here.
I have requested multiple times for a contract so I can review and have not received an answer. This is actually not an attack I just want people to know what they are getting in for when they sign up. I paid over 400 - 500 dollars a month for a couple years. I could afford to buy my kids a car and teach them to drive for less than they are charging.

Hello Nikki,I found your review surprising and disheartening, as we do our best to be open and forthcoming about all charges and fees. As consumers, we do not like “hidden” fees as well, so we draw up contracts to be clear and transparent, to the extent that we have you initial next to each notation of any possible fees. In the contract signed by you, the cancellation fee is noted in two areas, both initialed by you. We then have a highlights page for you to take home and keep for reference. We also offer 2 weeks of service included in the $250 cancellation fee, to which you decided not to use. In essence, the cancellation fee is prepaid 2 weeks of service and a small additional fee for removal of data from routes and systems. We offer multiple payment options to all customers, and yes, the primary one chosen by most customers does run every week even on holidays, this one reduces the weekly price because we stretch it over more payments. We do offer a payment plan that skips all holiday weeks, but the weekly rate is a little higher due to fewer payments. We understand that not everyone’s financial situation is the same and try to have options for what fits each family’s situation the best. The last statement you made was the most disconcerting. You sent an email stating you were struggling to make the weekly fee due to financial strain, so I offered to work with you to reduce your weekly rate, which you said no to. You also requested to be made aware of total fees and when the funds would be withdrawn so that you could budget accordingly. I did send you an email with the details of when, to which you called the following day to request that we not cancel because you were going to need to sign up another child. The following week, you did say to go ahead and cancel and bill the $250 because you were not sure how long before the other child would need a ride. So that is what we did. This email response came in on October 3rd at 6:54pm. The next morning, I submitted the new cancellation. The weekly fees had already been processed, so you were charged the weekly and the $250. You do have the option to use the 2 weeks of service included in the cancellation. It is understandable that you might see these final payments incurred and think they might be unjust, and want to attack us for them, but as explained, these are necessary fees that allow us to stay in business. We too have expenses and fees that we (unhappily) must pay; these are not easy times for anyone, financially.We are doing the best that we can under the circumstances and hope you can understand our explanation of your claims. Please feel free to call us with any other comments or questions.
