In few words, I hated Dallas because of this complex of apartments. Simply it is not a place for humans to live in. Super dirty, excellent old and number one in bug bed and roaches. The managment stuff mostly rude greatly. Not thank you for that bad experience.

This is the same apartment that used to go by the name "Indigo on Forest Lane" and just recently USED to be on Yelp as just Vineyards at Forest Edge so if you're looking for more reviews you may want to google that name instead. I find it odd that when people leave honest reviews they keep changing their name on both yelp and google. Why? The place hasn't changed so they're just going to get more bad reviews because it's not a good place. Please read the other reviews! They've changed the name and some of the signs but not much else has changed. It's possible that they are in the process of upgrading everything. I found the staff to be very nice, friendly, and helpful but expect the office to ALWAYS be busy and for phone calls to take a while. The area is okay, it has restaurants and stores near by. A lot of people here tend to walk or take the bus it seems. Quick access to the highway (75 and 635). The apartments are a decent size but really out dated and old. Bugs will be seen. It needs a lot of maintience for instance when we moved in there were a lot of stains in the carpet (like bleach was poured on it) and the shower has a lot of cracked tiles which were fixed once and then cracked again because of water pressure. Speaking of water the pressure with the shower head is horrible (we bought another one and now it's fine). Parking is a beast! If you get home after 5 pm don't expect to get a park near your apartment. Lot of traffic since there's a school near by so expect traffic during school peak times (6-8 am and 3-5 pm). The gates haven't worked since we moved in almost 2 years ago but I think they're fixing it now. They have courtesy patrol they're great. Still have crime though. Several break ins and one murder since I have been here. 95% of neighbors are fine but there are a good 5% that are unsavory. It's not quiet especially in the summer when kids are running around throwing rocks around cars and in the pool at all hours. It may just be the building i live in but the neighbors like to party...a lot so we see quite a few drunk loud people. Nobody seems to pick up their dog feces either and there are several wild cats around. Overall it's worth $500-$600 in rent any more than that and it's a ripoff. We're not staying for sure. If you're on hard times and need to get back on your feet then It won't be that bad stick it out then move to better things. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend though.

I've lived here since August of 2020, and for the most part, I've had a decent time here, though there have been some major deal breakers since the new management took over a few months ago. The biggest problem is that they recently installed digital locks, an ADT security panel, and smart thermostats in every apartment. Normally, I would be fine with having these things if I had installed them myself, but this raises a number of concerns. First of all, the management has control over the whole system, meaning if they wanted to lock us out for whatever reason, they could remotely change the door pin code without even notifying us. Secondly, they can remotely change our thermostat if they decide we were keeping our apartment too cold or too hot. Finally, while they assured us the little black dot on the security panel is a motion sensor, we confirmed it is actually a camera, which happens to face directly towards our bedroom door. This means if our door was open, they could see us sleeping, getting dressed, or anything else. The worst of it is that we didn't consent to this installation, and they lied about the camera. I will not be renewing my lease here.
