Shadow Oaks Apartments

I went in to view my options at leasing an apartment here. When I was there at the office, the apartment manager came out of her office and answered my questions with an attitude with her arms crossed the entire time like I did something wrong to her. However the other lady who gave me a tour was a very nice and had plenty of answers to my questions.

I love this apartment so much! All the staff are very nice but Anthony is the best he is a good listener and very nice person. I would recommend this apartment to everyone.

I don’t know who’s writing the good reviews but they’re lying to you. DONT LIVE HERE I’m serious the first manager straight up stop money from me (never got it back) the second one didn’t care and now there’s a new one and I somehow magically owe 1,000 dollars even though I dropped my final check in there drop box. Of course it magically disappeared and now my final bill went from 400 too 1100. Am I going to be able to fight it? Probably not I’ve already tried to fight everything else and that got me nowhere. I should’ve listened to the reviews when I had a chance.

Final review for Shadow Oaks apartments. I honestly have to say it was the worst apartment experience I've ever had. We've dealt with three property managers. The first, Susan, was very very incompetent and very neglectful towards the tenants. Never prioritizing issues we had to subtly making fun of tenants to their faces. The second, Sarah, we never had issues with because we never had to deal with her. And the acting manager, Anthony, we never got the chance to work with. The front office woman Diane was such a nice lady. For maintenance, first was someone named Jeff that cut corners when taking care of issues and never really finished what he started. He never left any kind of notes acknowledging what he did, so as far as we knew nothing was ever done. They never replaced the a/c filter unless we called to have it changed. Then came a guy named Matt who was great. Never left the room until we were taken care of, very friendly, and very informative. His work was professional. We had to do two 6 month leases and for our second lease we assumed it ended the same time as the previous. We were wrong and they never told us, just told us we owed more money. First we owed $68 and when I called they said we owed $225. I went to turn in our keys to be told we owed over $300. This complex, management, and ownership is very unorganized. They were lucky the rent was as low as it was in Austin otherwise they would have never received our business. I'm not sure who's doing these 5 star reviews, but from our experience they seem very fake and paid for. When we moved in it was as if we moved in right after the previous tenant. Nothing was replaced. Do not be fooled by photoshopped pictures on the site and careful when renting. I could keep going but if you rent here you'll find out for yourself.
