Door To Door Flooring

We replaced carpeting in 3 bedrooms to match the flooring in the rest of the house, and the project of couldn't have gone better. They did a great job finding a match for the existing engineered hardwood in the house, even though the older product was no longer available. The new floors look terrific! The installation was impeccable, especially around the doorways where the new and old floors come together. The floor prep and installation crews were very careful to avoid damaging walls and doorways, and they protected the existing floors with plastic. They also kept everything neat during their work and cleaned up nicely when they finished. We are super happy with the entire job.

Purchased tile, engineered wood and carpet flooring from Tom (I understand is the owner of Door to Door Flooring) in November 2018. Discussed wood flooring in detail related to usage patterns, wear patterns, etc. Tom was great during the sales process. Unfortunately shortly after instalation of a 20 year wear product the flooring surface started to flake and peel off. In discussion with Tom he claimed it should not be doing that. He called out the installer to use a color pen to color in and hide the defects. Over the last 2 years flaking has continued in the same and other spots. Tom originally stated that the flooring company rarely addresses these issues and said there were no other complaints so likely wouldn't do anything in this situation either. We now have spots of flaked wood flooring all over the installed flooring space, yes door to door you might say. The wood flooring will need to be replaced before we sell the house in the next couple of years to the tune of $20,000. I would NOT use Door to Door Flooring if you are concered about after the sale service. Very disappointing. I'll grab some photo's and attach them this write up over the weekend.

Tom is one of the owners. Tom sent Ann to my house to do an estimate. They did an estimate, without providing samples then followed up trying to get me agree to the bid without ever seeing samples of the wood floor. When Tom called to find out why I wasn’t signing I explained. No samples. Tom proceeded to tell me where I could go to a showroom. Meanwhile Ann assures me in an email the following day she is bringing samples, “I will leave them at your door on Monday.” While talking to Tom he repetitively called women girls, “the girls that work in the showroom” “those girls will help you” and when I asked him if they were young and should they be working in a showroom instead of correcting himself he just became belligerent. There are so many things wrong with these folks save yourself the time and bother.

Tom and the rest of his team at Door to Door flooring were amazing from the initial in home visit to the flooring coming into install. They communicated updates immediately. They were competitive in prices. They came and installed my entire first floor of my house in 1 day and I couldn't be happier with the work. Highly recommend
