Only reason this place gets any stars is the location and price. That being said I cannot wait to move out. We have cockroaches, and the hot tub has been empty for two years. Every other time I try using the washing machines, my clothes don't spin, leaving them soaking wet. I've given up trying and now have to go to the laundromat every time. The extra aggravation this has caused me is not worth the price of the rent. The buildings are old, I have mold in my closets, and pockets of the ceiling that are soft. Hopefully they get renovations and raise rent soon.

Since living at the brook, Ive never dealt with such an unprofessional staff until now. They seem to have no interest in resolving major issues within the complex. Im aware that bugs/roaches can be a common issue among many complexes, however I was astonished by what I saw in just my first few weeks. The people who work in the office seem as if they make it a point to make their tenants uncomfortable with strange stares, and Ive even caught them a few times peeking in through apartment windows unannounced. One piece of advice if youre looking for a place: ignore the appeal of the cheap prices at the brook because I can guarantee it is not worth it.

The cheap rent and Travis Heights location might seem attractive, but everything else at The Brook Aparments is not. This is an aging complex with virtually no amenities. There are numerous issues inside and outside (rickety wooden stairs and walkways, constantly failing hot water, bursting pipes, old appliances, leaky roofs). When maintenance eventually happens, it is disruptive and can drag on for weeks. Trash accumulates on the grounds, tree leaves piled up on the stairs and walkways. There are always seem to be guys with noisy leaf blowers outside during the day but there are always leaves everywhere. Parking isn't enforced, especially in the front lot. Mailboxes aren't secure. Avoid The Brook Aparments if at all possible.
