DO NOT LIVE HERE! 1) the parking situation is a disaster. After the new management - Cardinal Management Group - took over, they started charging $40/m to park in the garage. Since no one is willing to pay for a garage where cars are frequently broken into, everyone is parking in spots around the building and there aren't enough spaces. As a "solution" management has now restricted guest passes - now you must go when the office is open to get a pass for your guest. Guess you can't have any guests after five, and forget about having more than one friend over. A much better fix to the situation would be for these greedy jerks to just reopen the garage again. They are VERY STRICT about enforcing towing. 2) the apartments are dark. there are very few windows per apartment, so it's like you're living in a cave. 3) the building is OLD and it is in terrible condition. It's moldy, it's dusty, things are falling apart. They did renovations over summer (all superficial, none substantial), and I still have holes in my wall where the molding used to be. In my apartment I can either have a dishwasher that works or a sink that doesn't leak - when they fix one, the other breaks. Again. 4) the walls are thin - so thin my neighbor let me know he knows whenever I shower. Beautiful. 5) the thermostats are in your apartment, but you don't actually get to control the air/heat. they shut it off depending on the weather outside, even though there's practically no insulation in the building. 6) they never clean the breezeways - they're GROSS. 7) laundry: at least two of the machines are ALWAYS BROKEN. They won't drain and your clothes remain soaked - which means you have to pay for another round in a different washer. Naturally. 8) the smell of pot permeates the building. 9) not a safe place to live - one resident attacked me in the laundry room. The cops were called. 10) my bike was stolen out of the garage - where it was locked on the bike rack. They don't patrol at all despite the theft. 11) the new management - Cardinal Management Group - is terrible. Save yourself the headache, live literally anywhere else.

A good place to live near campus. The caretaker has a lot of sway in this place. Some years it was heaven to live here and some years it was just ok. All in all a place to look at for your apartment hunt ( only for UT students :) )

This place is quiet! If you need a place to live where you will not get bothered with alot of noise, then this is the place. The best thing is the bus stop is right out side the front area so you don't have to drive to campus. The new management is trying to get the utility billing all set, which is alittle of a pain. They are supposed to do some renovations, so we will see what that is all about.

Formerly Century Square, now Mint Urban. Living here has been the worst rental experience of my life. The previous reviewer claims that people shouldn't complain about renovations, but let's be clear. The renovations have been going on for over a month, and they make the units (mine at least) uninhabitable from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., frequently seven days a week. The jackhammer in the leasing office was so loud that things fell over in my bathroom. I had to fight to get one month's rent reduced, and I'm pretty sure I'm one of the very few who got anything (and I got very little). Construction also went on late in the night (like 2 a.m.). Further, the renovations are entirely cosmetic. Many of the units (mine included) have serious mold and water leak issues. The new dishwasher they installed is already broken. I submitted a maintenance request a month ago, and I've gotten nothing for it. This is typical. Maintenance requests here typically are ignored unless several trips to the office are made.
