I had not one, but both of my sons, with the assistance of Vicki at Nashville Doula Services. With my first, I had set out to just progress as far as I could without an epidural, with full intention of getting one. Yet, after a rather fast labor experience, and the support of Vicki, I was able to give birth, drug free, just 3 short hours after arriving to the hospital. And 2 hours with my second. All of the women I've met from Nashville Doula Services were amazing, but Vicki will always hold a special place in our hearts!

We are so very blessed Erica was a major part of our birth story. She was an amazing advocate who was supportive, loving, and genuinely excited to meet our baby with us, even after 20+ hours of labor and a transfer from the birth center to the hospital. She visited us after we brought our baby home and gave us a personalized gift bag, which was so unexpected and sweet. With our permission, she took sharable and discreet pictures during our birth experience and one of our favorites is right after he was born of us all together. She also sent the timeline she documented of when things were happening during the birth and at what time - something very special I had not even thought of! Even before we met Erica, the owner, Vicki, helped us personally with some paperwork we needed for our insurance company and I knew from the beginning this team would go out of their way to help new moms. Also, after baby arrived, Sarah met with me in my home to teach me how to do a super helpful postpartum wrap, which I also recommend. We can't thank Erica, Vicki, Sarah, and Nashville Doula enough. Highly recommend!

Best decision we’ve made. Nashville Doula Services took truly exceptional care and helped us through pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum. We took Kat’s Childbirth Education class via Zoom (during Covid) and it was phenomenal in helping first time parents feel as prepared and knowledgeable as possible. Plus, the energy Kat brings to Zoom, you’ll forget it was virtual. Vicki was our doula (Kat for backup) and we couldn’t have been in better hands. She helped us remotely through long days of confusing pre-labor and was instantly talking us through when things switched to active labor. Despite a huge snow storm, Vicki arrived at the hospital and supported me with my husband. Without Vicki, I would’ve never been able to have an unmedicated birth. She is magic. These are special people who seriously love what they do and couldn’t be better at it. Can’t recommend them enough - you’ll feel prepared, safe, capable, and as ready as you ever can. (We’re also signed up to use the placenta encapsulation service, beloved lactation consultant, and possible postnatal doula assistance!)

Our doula was Sandee, and I could not recommend her highly enough! It was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment I called Nashville Doula Services early on my pregnancy, Sandee helped me feel confident about my ability to give birth. I started off with a lot of fears, and Sandee was so patient to talk through all of those with me. She supported all of my decisions and encouraged me to listen to my gut every step of the way. She was such a calming presence for me and my husband in the delivery room. My husband really wanted to be involved in the birth, and Sandee was a great coach for him so that he could be my primary support. We had a wonderful birth experience! It was the calm, peaceful birth I always hoped for and one of the most empowering days of my life. I cannot rave about Sandee enough. We loved our whole experience working with NDS!
