Not quite what I have experienced at other doubletree's around the United States a little bit below standard.

Right off the highway. Affordable, clean hotel thats budget friendly. Hotel has an indoor pool and a restaurant on site. Overall stay wasnt bad. They didnt have extra pillows but nothing to complain over.

Everything you would expect from a baby Hilton. The big complaint that seriously needs to be addressed is the $16 breakfast. Seriously? Tru and Home2 have free breakfast and it's pretty good. Shame on Double Tree.

I have been a Hilton Member and stayed exclusively at Hilton (and MOSTLY Doubletree) for the last 6 years. This past weekend I reserved a room using my app, as I have hundreds of times for a stay to drop my daughter off to her father. Upon check in, I was asked "which card do you want to use?" My partner elected to pay for the room and we put that on file. What was not stated to me was that this was only for incidentals.
As I had swiped a different card and confirmed with the front desk that I wanted to use a different card for the room, I did not stop at the desk for checkout.
I received a call from my manager this morning about an improper charge to my corporate Amex. No big deal, I change my cards on file frequently, and I did not think I would have a problem here.
Instead, when I advised the agent that I needed to update my card, I was informed that this was against policy. I asked him if there was an exception, and began to panic, as a charge remaining on my corporate Amex would result in my termination from employment. I was trying to remain calm while being explained over and over how this was my fault, which I understand but can we please figure out how I don't get fired over this.
I was put on hold multiple times and (miracle of miracles) it turns out it CAN be done, but it's against some franchise rules. When I said that I was upset about how I was treated, I was hung up on.
I have never left a google review or called customer service before in my life. Ever. Having worked nearly 20 years in customer service, and years of that for a rental agency, I know that these reviews and complaints mostly become workplace fodder for employees who hate customers. (Because I also hate customers.)
I don't know what else to say other than that I was really surprised and disappointed by the care I received, and would not recommend staying at this location to anyone.
Any modicum of understanding or even helpfulness would have been fine, and certainly not being talked to like I am an insane person when my job is being threatened because this person didn't want to ask their manager for an exception was unreal.
