My girlfriend knows nothing about cars ( and can barely drive one) but she always took her car to midas (before we got together) and just recently she got a used car a 2008 saab 9-5 and had some issues so she called them and they charged her $125 to tow maybe a mile then say they can't fix the car and would be charged another $125 to tow back. That's when I said nope so I called and got it towed over to my house which is 7 miles away $75. But the cars driver floorboard has 1 inch of water the under dash panel for the driver side is hanging down there's broken pieces of the clips that hold it in the floor board and I can and I'm very polite and just telling them what happened and ask for them to cover the cost to have it dried out since it happened while they was in possession NOPE its was like that when we got it and the water is why it won't start and NO they're not covering the cost to dry it out. Oh but the car has never had water in it before and it only started not starting when the key battery died so that's strange that all that can happen just out of nowhere and the lady I talked to first wasn't very polite and put me on hold and transferred the call to the manager and didn't even say anything or try to help, but the manager for not doing the right thing was very polite so I say thank you sir for being professional and had you just agreed to try to cover the cost to dry it out we would continue business with you but I believe not anymore.

I've been taken my car to Midas for years and their customer service is great. They always get the job done in a timely manner.

My son dropped car off .. estimate was $1400. They kept it for over 3wks & tried to charge him over $2200. The parts were $1600 + $500 labor.. I could have purchased the parts myself on-line for approx $500. They bought the parts from AutoZone and then marked up 20-30%. Im pretty sure he couldve went to the Ford dealership & gotten better service at a cheaper price .. LESSON LEARNED
