image Wow! Great food, and great service! Our after dinner table visit from the owner was unexpected and very sweet.
But down to the business of eating. The menu is eclectic, while leaning more towards traditional Greek or Italian meals and steaks. The dinner helpings were enormous and extremely tasty.
Our table started with a choice of soup or chili and salads, with most of us asking for the chili. We all found the chili to be very satisfying and very tasty, having plenty of flavor and green peppers in it. This is just the way I love it! Then on to the main course.
The steaks were well seasoned, very tender, juicy, and large. One of the specials on the day we visited was halibut, which was moist and tender while still being well seasoned and blackened to perfection. The shrimp dinner was grilled on a skewer, and the shrimp were done perfectly, and the blackened chicken alfredo an angel hair pasta was absolutely delicious . Half of our table had a side of the Greek roasted potatoes, while the other half had the 'potato patch', a generous portion patty of fried mashed potatoes smothered in loaded baked potato toppings, including a toss of lettuce and tomato.
While the restaurant does not have a liquor license that I know of, patrons are not dissuaded from bringing their own drinks if they wish.
The restaurant itself is in what seems to be a very old building with multiple rooms. It is neat and tidy, but not really note worthy.
The star of the show is the outdoor patio, which is quaint and beautiful, with an old tree growing up through the middle and having its branches spread out above the pergola. Edison lights dangle from overhead, and this area does scream Kodak moment. Follow your GPS to CJ papadops, but since I did lose signal halfway there, it may be prudent to consult your map before taking off. This restaurant is not to miss!
