My daughter and I arrived to check in and was told we were not allowed to stay because we lived within 50 mi, BUT THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY! We've stayed here in the past, no problems! I'm a Choice member. I'd booked ahead online for 2 nights and now out $279.99. I'm determined on getting my money back someway! This is just ridiculous. The hotel said it was up to the booking site to refund, the booking site said it was up to the hotels policy to refund me. Ruined our trip, need to say the least.

I just tried to check In this hotel and had all the proper documents, information, id's and all were legit and up to date, I have nc I'd and tags and address, and because the statement was made that I would be going to my father's house while waiting for checkin until 3 and then the statement was made that because we were local we could not stay, however we are not local and I tried explaining that there was a vacation property belonging to my dad's ministry here and that's what I was referring to the lady at the desk Megan gave me my ID and my dad's ID and told me we couldn't stay and that we were local and lying. Although all of our tags, id's, and documentation required all had NC ADDRESSES BECAUSE THATS WHERE WE ARE FROM!!!! I never got rude, I never once was upset or gave false information, nor were there any indications that we were not being truthful.. except the fact that I mentioned using an app to get a discount which clearly upset this lady, so tell me why was I told to leave when I explained my kids wanted to come here because we were staying accross the street at another hotel and I promised my kids that our last night here we'd go to this one so we could swim .. so was it the mention of the app or the mention of my children and us swimming that was a problem for this woman?? Either way I was wrongfully turned away and mistreated and I will make sure I never use this hotel again, and I travel a lot and so does my Ministry and we spend a lot of money here. WELL NO MORE!! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN TURNED AWAY AND MISTREATED AND LIED TO BY A HOTEL FOR NO REASON, THAT WAS MORALLY OR LEGALLY OR AT ALL RIGHT IN ANY WAY! I AM APPALLED!!!! JENNA

Me and my wife have been coming here for the past two years to have a little time for ourselves without the kids and there has never been any issue until now. Today we were checking in and they said we cant stay there since we are local. When I asked since when has that rule been in effect they told me since the place opened. To be a guest that has stayed multiple times through the past few years it was pretty ridiculous and unacceptable to hear.
