Dr. Aucoin was assigned to me through the Department of Veterans affairs. I met with him regularly up until he ghosted me and stopped showing up for our appointments. I find this unprofessional and not the practice expected from a doctor.
Leading up to him ghosting me, there were indicators of flakiness such as telling me he was going to send me a worksheet or a helpful document, only to never actually receive them after the session.
It was like he became increasingly disinterested until he eventually just didn't show up to the appointment. I really need help at the time and I'd waiting over 6 months for the VA to get me paired with him. This was damaging to me and behavior like this damages the already frail system of veteran mental health services.

Dr. Aucoin is very easy to talk to and very patient to grasp the full spectrum of thoughts in his patient's mindset. His demeanor is disarming and I feel comfortable sharing my struggles and burdens. There is no judgement in his office; only coaching for tangible small steps toward contentment.
I highly recommend for individual and marriage counseling. A neutral outside perspective goes a long way toward repairing years of misunderstanding or miscommunication. I am more hopeful about myself each time I leave Dr. Aucoin's office.
