This inn was awesome! Great price, perfect location, border of Rhode Island and Connecticut for all you casino goers, close to Mystic, Connecticut and close to all the awesome beaches in Rhode Island. The rooms were great, very clean, fireplaces, jetted tubs, fridge, widescreen tv, awesome deck on upper level with gorgeous views of the Wood River, king and queen beds. DOGS ARE ALLOWED, first floor only. Lots of places to eat right down the road but the restaurant across the street was absolutely fantastic!, The Wood River Bar and Grill clam chowder was phenomenal and the prime rib was crazy delicious. The service was great. They took us to our room, showed us how everything works, keys, locks, reviewed when outside doors would be locked and how to get in, reviewed emergency procedures. They left no tern unstoned. A great place to stay whether you are passing through or staying the week. They were extremely cordial. Plenty of snacks, pastries, coffee, tea, cocoa, fresh fruit in the lobby. To be in a building that was built in 1796 was a real historical treat. The original giant wood beams run across the first floor. It has a really good positive feel to the place. Loved it.
Rooms: Different size rooms with different bed and bath arrangements. Dogs ARE allowed bottom floor only
Nearby activities: Connecticut Casinos, Mystic Aquarium and Seaport Historic Village, Rhode Island Beaches, East, Matunic, Misquamicut lots of hiking trails
Walkability: You can walk along the road that the inn is on to get food and drink
Food & drinks: Lots of restaurants, sit down, pizza joints, subs etc on the same road that the Inn is on. However, there is an awesome restaurant right across the street, The Wood River Bar and Grill.

False advertising here. It says online and on the building itself that all rooms have a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. We called to verify this before booking and the woman that answered said all rooms did have them and they just hadnt updated the photos. This is false. The room has no fireplace, no jacuzzi tub, duct work near the door, no ventilation. When we asked about it, they said they knew and they get complaints about the sign. Nothing was done to fix the situation, we only stayed here because of the amenities that they didnt end up having. Will never stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the inn for our anniversary. I grew up in RI and always wanted to stay here. We chose the "honeymoon suite" because we wanted a fireplace and jacuzzi. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfy, jacuzzi was great. I was asked to fill out a feedback form which I did. I was disappointed that we could not use the fireplace in November due to the gas not being turned on. Also the double shower in the room did not work properly. One side barely any water came out and the other side had extremely low water pressure and absolutely no hot water. I told the woman at the front desk upon checkout so they can hopefully get that fixed. Snacks are goldfish, pretzels and store bought cookies. The breakfast is store bought muffins, turnovers and juice. Not your typical food choices at an inn.

Busy road but pretty quiet inside. Quaint. Friendly. Clean. Would stay again in area for sure.
