Dr. Faiella is the best in the business. I cannot recommend this practice enough. I recently chipped my tooth. Dr. Faiella responded to my emergency request with the upmost priority. She treated me the very next morning. I was in and out with a new and improved front tooth. The renovations made to the practice permeates an upscale spa type atmosphere. Come for the deep cleaning, stay for the massage chair! I can't go back to another dentist.

I have reviewed this practice before but, I feel it is important to do it again. I am suffering from severe tooth pain, I called their office, they did their best to get me in asap and helped me right away. Everyone in that office is friendly and the Dentist even called to check on my status. I am grateful for their hard work! Martha is awesome but I am sure that is no surprise and the dental assistant that helped me was very kind. I wish I got her name. Island Dental is by far the best dental office I have had the pleasure of visiting.

This is my first adverse review. I decided to write this review because what happened to me was unethical & that people looking for a dentist should know this.
I got an appointment in the spring of last year. I went in & the dental team informed me that I needed a deeper cleaning than just one visit. That was fine with me. So after the first appointment, the dentist or the dental hygienist did not say a word about my oral health besides the fact that I needed a second appointment. So I just thought things were bad but they could be fixed with a good cleaning.
Unfortunately, I was unable to make the next appointment. The receptionist said if I did not come in on the day & time of my appointment then “I would never be able to get an appointment again.” It was strange that they could not be more flexible. They could not even schedule me six months out?
The receptionist did stick true to her word. She never called me back for an available appointment; which I asked if she could do if anyone canceled or anything opened up (it’s been 1.5 years since the canceled appointment).
When I moved to California, a year later, I went to a dentist in Southern CA. On the first visit, she informed me that I had 6 cavities & bone loss in my jaw from severe lack of oral health.
This came as a shock. How in just one year could I get so many cavities & bone loss? I feel that Island Dental had an ethical responsibility to either at least tell me there were issues going on or see me again.
The funny part is that I have eaten drastically healthier since the winter of last year. So, it would not make sense for me to receive so many cavities in a year, when I eat 80% vegetables than I did when I attended Island Dental.
I hope y’all have better experiences than I did but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

I am absolutely, pathologically afraid of going to the dentist. I literally did not go for 20 years. I was certain I would wind up with dentures at a relatively young age.
And then I found Island Dental Health.
They made me feel so comfortable, like a part of the family almost.
Dr. Jones and the entire staff are fantastic. It’s a small office so you get to know everyone and everyone cares about you. They are so patient and really took the time to talk to me about my fears and put me at ease.
A lot of work was needed and they explained each step and talked me thru the whole process.
I cannot say enough good things about this place.
Finally after all these years my dental health is where it should be and now I’m ok with going back for regular cleanings and checkups.
If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I wish there were more stars! I'm not too sure where to begin so here are some quotes from my 16 yo daughter " I love the dentist", "Mom, when is my next appointment ( dentist) because they are so nice there and they always have food". I stumbled upon Island Dental Health about 3 yrs ago when I unexpectedly broke my back tooth and needed an immediate root canal due to nerve exposure. I called them around chrismastime in the mid morning and they got me in to see the Dr that day. I had major dentist anxiety as my previous experiences elsewhere were not pleasant. In fact it was over 10 yrs since I had last gone due to my fear and anxiety. I explained this to the office staff and the Doctor. They were all friendly, compassionate and understanding. When I arrived I was in tears due to the extreme pain and anxiety. They performed the root canal for over 4 hours straight. I even got sick ( due to not eating prior) and they were angels about making me not feel embarassed and hapily cleaned up the mess. I also have extreme anxiety and fear around needles and novicane. They offer something that was explained to me as the " wand". It is not a shot. They first put numbing jelly on your gums, allow adequate time for it to work, and use thus wand which slowly numbs your area as needed. It is virtually pain free and when the work is done you are no longer numb unlike the single novicane shots typically used at dentists. I can go on and on about my dentist and his staff ( I often do). I recommend them every chance I get. I tell everyone going to my dentist is like a day at the spa. It's true! They always have some spread of food out and a kcup machine with multiple choices. Their " wash room" features individually wrapped pre pasted toothbrushes, cotton hand towels, specialty soap and lotion. They have a " secret" hidden room that is tranquil with calming music, a leather zero gravity massage chair with heat and parafin wax for your hands. When you leave you are welcome to take a chapstick or bagged homemade cookies made by Martha their receptionist of over 10 yrs as well as a single rose.
I honestly can't say or express my gratitude towards Dr. Jones and his amazing dental assistant, hygienist and Martha who is more than your average receptionist.
If you are looking for the total package for all of your family dentist needs, Island Dental is the obvious choice!
