      image Unhappy experience trying to buy a used yacht from Shannon Brokerage. The broker, Bill Ramos, withheld information and is still holding on to my deposit 3 weeks after I notified him the deal would not be going forward. The boat, while about 18 years old, had had regular maintenance by a competent yard, yet had water intrusion in the cabin top, a rotted bulkhead, damaged rudder mounts and hull deformities identified by my surveyor. Shannon Quality?
      5/25- update: After 6 weeks, I am still waiting to get my deposit ($8000) back from the broker. Have filled a complaint with the RI attorney general's office (consumer division), who is investigating. The Shannon way of doing business?
      6/7--update. After being contacted by the RI AG office, Shannon returned my deposit on 6/3. Glad this is over.
