My wife and I contacted James Weaver to help us with an adoption. From start to finish Mr. Weaver was passionate, dedicated, and professional in every step of the process. It took four months to complete the adoption. We are eternally grateful for the hard work, time and dedication that Mr.Weaver put into our case.

Very knowledgable, very friendly and down to earth. So far i would definately recommend, i will post again after the process is through but i have a great feeling about him and his staff.

Our case was mismanaged from the start: John went on vacation and his substitute attorney filed papers without notifying us. The other side blew up. We had no knowledge, so we had no idea how to handle. Weeks later, a reconciliation phone call was scheduled between both sides but John was late by 45 minutes due to his childs dentist appointment and was not prepared. During the call he did not mention any of our key issues provided to him. He was mostly silent for 45 minutes while the other attorney decimated us. His wife tried to calm us down, asked John why he did not use our list but he still did not. Result: We lost all visitation and Johns receptionist said we could not see him for 2-3 weeks bc we had just seen him. It is now 8 months later and the poor 4 y.o. is still a pawn in the middle. The agreement that Johns firm put in place was never followed by the opposing side. (which the phone call was supposed to address.) We withdrew his counsel of us. We never got an itemized list of his fees as promised. He just kept our money. Very, very frustrating and sad experience. If he was not interested it was his responsibility to let us know before ruining a 4 y.o. life further.

If you want to pay for a attorney and never speak to him again after you pay go ahead and hire this guy. I only talked to his Paralegal . At my very important custody hearing he has this other guy representing me because he had more important hearings going on at the time is what I was told. Let's not fail to mention that this guy knew nothing about my case and I was trying to fill him in 5 minutes prior to my hearing which I bit my tongue but was upset about this. I feel when you hire a attorney you hire someone your trusting with your life in my case my children. Granted I do have custody of my children but I was told things couldn't happen at a hearing which I insisted on them requesting which then did happen and in my favor. Paperwork being filed that I never told him my attorney I thought to do all just to charge me more money. After all of this I decided I didn't want to keep paying for a attorney I don't even talk to and basically paying to talk to his Paralegal. Now he refuses to answer any of my questions and has made the process of just moving on very difficult for me. I would not recommend hiring this guy I liked what I read and not how my custody case was handled. There are far more attorneys out there that if you pay they will care very much about whatever situation your in but this law firm is not the one paid 2500 and he tacked on all this extra stuff which I have to pay don't waste your time or your hard earned money!
