I've only used this CPA for three years now, and the last two have gone from bad to worse. Last year, it was the last day to file when I called and was "ok'd" to come in and sign my returns for filing. This year, same drill. After hearing nothing the day before, I called on the morning of tax day and her assistant told me this CPA was with a client and would call me back. At 9:15 pm after not hearing back from her I called and asked what my status was, and if an extension was needed to prevent me from filing "late". She said not to worry, that she would have them done by MN. We then agreed to meet on Friday to review everything. On Friday morning I discovered she DID file an extension, as I ended up owing the state. She never let me know that until four days after taxes are due! ZERO communication from this CPA EVER, creating undue stress that I had to shelve. She apologized for the lack of communication, yet charged me her full fee minus a $30.00 PA penalty fee, AND a $75.00 fee for a phonecall to her assistant LAST August regarding a state tax letter I received! I question her ethics and professionalism at this point.

We've been using Mindy Thomas for a few years for our taxes without problems, but this year was really awful. We submitted all the paperwork many weeks in advance and then did not hear from her...when it was two days before the deadline, I tried to contact her a couple of times to see what was happening but she did not get back to me. Then I found that the day after the deadline they submitted my return at the last minute, without showing it to me first. Its the day after the deadline and I am still waiting for them to send me what they submitted. For my partner, they got an extension -- without checking with her first or even letting her know before the deadline that it was their plan! This has all been very unprofessional, and all done unapologetically as well. I can understand if for whatever reason one is not able to complete the returns in a timely manner, but then please let us know in advance so that we can decide how we want to proceed.

Wonderful experience. Mindy has helped me out of a couple jams. Always gets back to me quickly, and explains everything in a way that I can understand. Highly recommend.
