I have a dear friend living in this place. He is now in the dementia unit. It is appalling. Absolutely appalling. Kind nurses, but obviously, the profit motive means that patients have no medical care, no decent living conditions, no decent food, and filthy rooms. This place needs to be investigated. I will be contacting government authorities.

Wanda Barlow was the CNA that I had a small encounter with today, at the Dr’s office. As I was leaving out of the doctors office to reschedule for my next appointment I proceeded to sit down when Wanda hovered over me and told me she was about to sit there. I am a pregnant woman who seven months and my pregnant belly is very noticeable. This woman got in my face and told me “that’s my seat” as she was standing over me. It seems as though she was assisting her patient at the appointment which means her patient was the patient being being seen at the doctors office, not Wanda. However, Wanda had no respect or remorse for me as a pregnant woman who was trying to take an open seat. After she aggressively scoots in the chair and almost knocked me over she stared me down as if she had no care in the world or respect for a pregnant woman. I notice she was wearing a name tag that read Wanda Barlow, so I took a picture of her name tag With the intent of making this review. If this is how she cares a pregnant woman I’d like to know how she cares for a patient behind closed doors.

Working here as a nurse is ok overall BUT the place is filthy dirty like there’s no housekeeping. Trash on the floors in residents rooms and everywhere. All the floors are dirty and extremely sticky, it’s just not a clean place and I’d never send a loved one here.

Recommend! I can’t say enough how appreciative I am of the caring staff at The Phoenix Center Rehab. My dad was there for therapy, the staff was so kind, very accommodating and communicative, we couldn’t have asked for better support and care during his time of need.
