    The worst insurance company. I canceled my policy home rent insurance with them because I bought my own home I told them I don't live at that rental location anymore i moved out. It took me 6 months to cancel my policy. I called them and told them I want to cancel my policy the agency told me I can't do it via email I have to go to specific location to sign paperwork to cancel my policy. I send him an email asking them to cancel my policy no response. They kept charging my account every month. Until I found out about it and I called my bank to dispute the charge and I send my bank the email that i sent to nationwide. Nationwide called me asking why i dispute the charge i explained everything to her and i forwarded the email to her showing her that request to cancel my policy she apologize and said the previous agency didn't do his job!! Finally they hire a collection agency to get $82 I don't know for what and why I cancelled my policy but anyway I paid that to not mess my credit cards score. Now I receive one more bill for $52.13 loll . I called again the agency told me that I didn't pay the $82 which I paid over a month ago . I said what about the mail that I keep receive from you pay pay pay pay balance it's crazy and scam . Very bad company very bad costumer service I don't recommend at all .

    Very fair fire insurance quote for homeowner who never had a claim. Homeowner signed. Two months later a second bill arrived for an additional $200. Homeowner insisted, "I have a 12-month policy. Nationwide is locked-in until next August." Nationwide rebutted, "That was an enticement-rate." Homeowner laughed, "Rub a lamp, bub! There aint no such animal." We battled, Nationwide cancelled homeowner's policy in November. Homeowner filed suit with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner who promptly found in homeowner's favor, declared the policy reinstated at original rate. Next August Nationwide hit homeowner with $200 increase. Homeowner had already signed with another carrier. So for the few policy-holders who challenge that absurd, demonstratively illegal 'enticement rate' the thousands who foolishly fall for the scheme make it worthwhile. The loss of Nationwide's once sterling name doesn't seem to bother company management; not stacked against profit. So what are any homeowner's chance to collect for a genuine claim? State authorities are in Harrisburg to protect us; don't be shy going to them for guidance, especially if you suspect fraud.
