Energy Plus Holdings

I gave this company one star because zero was not an option. My bill jumped from the usual total of about $90/month to $238 and then to $350. I was on a three month plan and forgot to renew it so it reverted to month-to-month. For June, the company charged just under 16 cents per KWH and for July, they increased it to 17 cents. AC Electric’s rate for both periods was just under 10 cents per KWH. And for an added bonus, when I called, the agent gave me a healthy dose of atty-tude, as we Philadelphians are wont to say. My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs.

Horrible Company. They are charging 17c when in reality their offer is 8c . Paid almost double the bill for years! Stay away from this firm

I signed up for Energy Plus/NRG to earn American Airlines points and “save on my electricity bill.” I checked the rates against PECO in Philadelphia before doing so. The account was on auto pay. Energy Plus/NRG immediately increased my rates without informing me of the change. They increased the rate to OVER THREE TIMES what PECO was charging! Energy Plus was charging me 19.5 cents per kilowatt hour versus 6 cents at PECO. This resulted in our electric supply bill being $1,500 higher every year!! This company has a history of class action suits due to its abusive practices. DO NOT USE THEM AS AN ENERGY SUPPLIER!!!

Terrible company. Bill will be lower initially then tricked into almost double if not more. Keep an eye on the bill all the time. Be careful and do not get into any contract. Check with your supplier for town they might be significantly cheaper.
