Anthropologie

I ordered $500 worth of clothing. I live in an apartment building on a busy street in New York City. The delivery person left the package on the sidewalk just outside the door to my apartment building. I'm sure it was stolen within minutes of the driver leaving. Anthropologie says there is nothing they can do for me. They will not reimburse me nor resend the items. I've been having deliveries made to my apartment building for years. No other delivery person has ever left packages on the sidewalk. If they can't get into the lobby, they don't leave the package. I don't understand why Anthropologie is making what I feel are unsound business practices.

It's super confusing finding this place, they say they are at building #18 but their online presence has them listed at building #10.

I would not recommend buying from Anthropologie online (or at all). You will have to experience Metropolitan Warehouse. Anthropologie partners with them for their shipping and returns. This company also has a 2 star rating. Poor customer service is being nice and due to Anthropologie working with Metropolitan Warehouse (that has no technology for tracking your return), you run the risk of not getting refunded for your return either. They come in unmarked trucks, have no paperwork for the pick-up and do not communicate with Anthropologie electronically or by phone to coordinate your pick-up. You will need to be at your home all day on their scheduled return pick-up date but they never showed up for us. They claimed they attempted to do the pick-up but this is inaccurate since we were home all day. When calling customer service, do not expect to be able to speak with anyone that can assist because the drivers have no technology to give real-time updates to customers service. Just ask yourself, why would Anthropologie partner with a company like this? As of now, we called Anthropologie to get the status of our credit but they have no information from Metropolitan Warehouse regarding the status of our return.

Hello, I am very disappointed as a first time customer and probably would not shop with you again. I tried to place the order online and the system was not working. I called the line and specified that I was calling from Canada and the person on the phone did not specify that they would charge in USD. I specified that I did not want shipping charges and asked the rep on the phone if any additional charges would be charged to which she replied I have sent an email as confirmation so you know that only $ 134.40 will be charged. The overall charge on my bank statement was $ 181.35 which is $46.95 over the price specified since your customer service rep is incompetent to advise the customer that this was USD. I am very disappointed in the service with both the calls that I made to the customer service as the reps spoke as if it was my problem and was not apologetic about what had happened. I even asked the rep to refund the money and stop the shipment. It is despicable the way your company does business. I have never submitted a bad review online but for the first time I will be giving your company a very bad review.
