My daughter and I stopped by Rinse salon to see if they had an appointment for a shampoo and blow dry. The lady right away said that they were completely booked up. I told her that I needed an appointment a week later - and her response without looking at her schedule is that they are so busy that they are not taking any new clients. I called several salons in the same neighborhood all of them had appointments. Seemed to me that she just was being racist and did not want to do our hair. It seemed odd that all the salons in the neighborhood had availability for 2 appointments but they did not have time for one shampoo blow dry a week later. This just confirmed my experience.

Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to come across a rave review about Joey's skill set and demeanor. I was hesitant to book an appointment at first, since my last few cuts from my previous stylist, of almost 5 years (who I drove 3+ hours to see), were sub-par, at best; I had also recently experienced some health issues that took a toll on my hair, so I was feeling less than confident. I decided to take a chance, and booked an appointment with Joey - I am SO GLAD I did!! He showed me that no matter what state my hair was in, with his careful eye, keen skill set, some patience and a whole lot of TLC, he could help make my hair fabulous again. When you're in his salon, it's as if you're at a cozy family gathering. The salon is tastefully designed to make it feel like home, and the staff are talented, friendly and inviting. Joey takes his time to thoroughly understand your vision and needs, and meticulously cuts each strand with care and ease. He communicates clearly to ensure you both are on the same page, and offers his expertise with thoughtful recommendations. Joey goes out of his way to make sure you are completely satisfied before and after you leave his chair. His warm, fun-loving, playful spirit makes the experience a dream! He is a true artist, and master at what he does, and I am so thankful for him!Words fail to express how WONDERFUL Joey and the Rinse family are!!

I found Rinse Salon after the terror of needing to find a new hair stylist in short order. I read literally every review of Yelp five star rated salons in Center City and decided on Rinse. I have been with Ari for a few years and she is not only a great stylist but a gem of a person. I am not good at styling my hair and she has shown me step by step on how to do it. She also has consistently tailored my hair cut to my skills, my hair type, and my lifestyle. Most importantly,  Ari has eliminated my former dread of sitting in the chair and getting my hair cut. I highly recommend Rinse if you are on the lookout for a new salon, you will not be disappointed.
