Go somewhere else or better yet do your own hair. The wait here is astronomical. I made my appointment for 1pm come 2 hours later and they still didn’t start my hair. I finally had to leave because of a prior engagement. They didn’t refund my deposit either and I had to demand them not to charge a cancellation fee. If you still decide to give them business, book your appointment at least two hours in advance. Thank me later.

Short version: bougie results without the bougie environment. Melinda is my hero. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to my hair. I've been burned in the past, likely due to my own miscommunication and expectations. Thus I've been "doing" my own hair for a few years now. I came to Melinda on a recommendation from a friend with only a picture and some anxiety. I knew to temper my expectations, especially given I had bleached my own hair about a year ago and who knows what kind of damage I'd really caused. Melinda had great energy and enthusiasm from the onset. She's a whole personality: honest and communicative and by far the best sense of humor I've encountered in a long time (delightfully spicy!). We talked a lot about my past experiences, how I got where I got, and where I wanted to go - *exactly* where I wanted to go. She made certain we were on the same page before doing anything else. I think she got a great read on my personality during this process, because the results ride a perfect line between conservative and dramatic. I still feel like myself, but with a fantastic makeover. I've included 1 before picture (I don't take a lot of pictures). The rest are a combination of photos Melinda took in the salon and photos I took about half an hour later after getting home. I really feel like I made a connection, and I'll be safe and comfortable going back for anything and everything else. Thank you so much, Melinda!
